The location is perfect for travelers who need easy access to Changbaishan Railway Station, and the park right across the street provides a lovely place for a relaxing stroll. However, the most memorable part of my stay was the outstanding service I received from the moment I checked in. Chen Yuanyuan (陈园园), the hotel staff, was an absolute delight. She is always smiling, polite, and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. From the beginning, she warmly escorted us to our room and took the time to explain all the hotel amenities in detail. Her thoughtfulness did not stop there. She proactively connected with me on WeChat to ensure quick responses to any requests we had. The next morning, she personally reminded us about breakfast and even offered to come to our room to guide us to the restaurant. Her dedication was evident as she stayed until we were seated comfortably in the buffet area. Even after checkout, her exceptional service continued. She presented us with lovely hotel gifts and waited with us until our taxi arrived, ensuring a smooth departure. Chen Yuanyuan’s service attitude is truly commendable. Her attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism set a high standard for hospitality. She is undoubtedly a role model for her peers and a huge asset to the hotel. This experience reinforced my belief that service in China is truly excellent, and it’s because of staff like her that I will definitely return to this hotel on my next trip to Changbaishan in a different season. A very special thanks to the reception staff, gym team, and hot spring attendants. Even though I don’t speak Chinese, every staff member was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and foreigner-friendly. They patiently went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable, welcome, and at home. The hotel itself is stunning — elegant design, comfortable rooms, a well-equipped gym, and a relaxing hot spring. Everything is spotless, modern, and carefully maintained. For any international traveler visiting Changchun, this is the perfect place to stay. It’s foreigner friendly, luxurious, and highly recommended. My experience at the Cherry Hotel was mixed, with several issues worth noting for international travelers. Upon arrival, I was required to leave a 400-yuan deposit before accessing the room, and communication was difficult as no member of the staff spoke English. The breakfast was entirely Chinese, with no Western options at all — not even basic black coffee. At checkout, I was charged 70 yuan for a bottle of water and a tea bag placed on the desk in the room, even though such items are usually complimentary in most hotels and not part of the minibar. The charge therefore felt excessive and unexpected. Overall, the hotel may suit local guests, but it lacks the basic international standards that foreign travelers usually rely on.

This was as close as a perfect getaway spot. This resort is tucked away at the foot of the attraction, making it the most convenient of spot to visit ChangBaiShan 👍🏼 regardless of the weather, there are facilities (ktv/entertainment/convenience stores, etc) that travellers can take advantage of if the weather is adverse and routes up the mountains are closed for the day. There is even a restaurant area that caters nice food, pricing might be steep to some but it is definitely delicious. The butler service is also excellent at keeping you informed of all the activities, which is not easy when they have like close to full capacity of guests during my stay, kudos to them. And last of all, I got to celebrate my anniversary with thoughtful preparations from both cleaning crew as well as the concierge! We booked the Gyegok trekking through Trip.com, but as foreigners, we had trouble communicating with the trekking company. The manager helped us, and we had a wonderful time that will remain a pleasant memory. If we have the chance to come to Changbai Mountain again, we would definitely choose this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. We are truly grateful for the warm hearts of all the staff. Also, grilling skewers and enjoying a glass of soju in the hotel parking lot was an unforgettable delight.
