Dai-ichi Takimotokan is an exceptional ryokan that offers an unforgettable onsen experience in Noboribetsu. The highlight is its large variety of hot spring baths, both indoor and outdoor, allowing guests to relax while enjoying beautiful natural surroundings. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, blending traditional Japanese style with modern amenities. The buffet meals are impressive, with a wide selection of fresh Japanese and international dishes. Staff are courteous, attentive, and provide excellent hospitality throughout the stay. Overall, Dai-ichi Takimotokan is perfect for travelers seeking relaxation, quality service, and an authentic Japanese onsen experience.
Room is very clean and short 7mins walk to integrated Sapporo JR station, subway (Namboku and Toho line) and bus terminal. The hotel also upgraded me to a more comfortable double bed room which is kind of standard for all the places I have travelled. Amenities are always replenished unlike some hotels which don’t provide. Staff are very polite. I don’t know how many times I have bowed in return. Also, although the room is facing JR railway, the sound insulation is very good - no disturbance from train movement. Buffet breakfast is also very good with all kinds of sushi such as blow fish, flat fish, blue crab miso soup, ramen, Mongolian bbq mutton Jingkisukan, and even sparkling wine. I would stay here again if come to Sapporo.
The hotel provides a shuttle bus pick-up from Sapporo Station (Bus Terminal), but reservations can only be made by phone call. Email requests are not accepted. We arrived on a Sunday, and the bus was already fully packed when leaving Sapporo Station, so it is best to book early.
The hotel itself is a little old, though the public area toilets appear to have been recently renovated. The public onsen pools are large and relaxing, but the stone tile flooring can be slippery from long use, so be careful when walking in the bath area.
The buffet has a good spread of dishes. I especially enjoyed the dinner scallop miso soup, handmade sushi, and desserts. The restaurant was lively and fully packed with both local Japanese families and overseas tourists. One minor downside was the seasonal fruit such as lychee. It would be better if the hotel ensured the fruits were properly washed before serving.
Wi-Fi connection in the hotel is strong and stable unlike the big spa hotel in lake Toya which I just stayed a few days ago.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Shirogane Onsen Hotel Park. While the room and toilet are quite small, they were clean and functional.
The rest of the experience was very good — the onsen was relaxing, the surroundings were beautiful, and the atmosphere was peaceful. Service was courteous, and it was a nice place to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
If you don’t mind compact rooms, this hotel offers a comfortable stay with a great onsen experience.
Fantastic Onsen hotel..located on the hill top, all rooms assigned overlooking into the OKHOTSK SEA, with huge room and shower room are separated from the WC.
The hotel provide a shuttle bus from UTORO ONSEN BUS TERMINAL and will pick up guests from here.
Another good point is,there is a Airport Bus Liner which comes direct to the hotel to pick guestyfor drop off at Shiretoko Shari Bus terminal enroute to Mambabetsu Airport.
The breakfast is really yummy with lots of spread however the buffet dinner is average and the same spread for the two nites I stayed.
Where else the ONSEN, I would give a 4/5.
Another good point to note is those coming by train to Shiretoko Shari station, opposite is the Shari Bus terminal which provides transer to the UTORO ONSEN BUS TERMINAL.in about 50 mins.
Overall Shireto Daiichi Hotel is a big luxurious hotel and they provide shuttle for onwards bus transfer to the SHIRETOKO NATURE PARK which is so beautiful to wander out to seek nature's awesomeness.
Trasporti conveniente.
Very pleased with our stay at Greenpia, and happy there were quite a few improvements since last year:
- upgrade to the outdoor onsen, which is much better than before. Love the addition of the TV
- onsen kits inside closet
- more room selections such as the Max, cabins and glamping
- the conversion into the comic reading space

UUtente ospiteFor a weekend 2 day onsen break, this hotel is perfect. Noboreitsu is a small place and the location of this hotel is very good (at the bottom of a hill right next to the bus terminus). The single room itself is small but adequate albeit retro, but the onsen facilities are pretty good and despite the large commercial size of the hotel, the onset is never busy. The breakfast and dinner buffets are decent, but as it barely changes, you will get bored pretty quickly after 2 days. Jikokudani is less than 10 minutes away by foot - if you enjoyed this during the day, it is super-pretty in the evening and the evening walk makes a lovely post-dinner saunter (see photos). You will pass the main shopping street on the way there and back (most shops close at around 9pm). The only downside to the hotel is the sheer number of tour groups that check in/out. 4-6pm and early morning 8-10am are just rammed with tour buses/groups and the hotel lifts are packed as a result.
UUtente ospiteIt might have not been clearly mentioned but there is no air-conditioning provided, only central heating. During my time there, weather was cold out so the room only had 3 levels, low heat, medium heat and high heat. There is no way to sleep in those conditions and it took me a while to realize because the receptionist on the help desk phone did not speak English, so I went down to the lobby past midnight to ask the only staff available. Through some help on google translate and his hand gestures, I was told that I had to leave my windows open to let cold air into the room. This was not explained at any point during the check-in so I guess that's the downside for foreigners wanting to stay here. There's also a hot spring tax you have to pay when you check out. All things considered Jozankei is not a big town so everything is accessible and the hotel is generally comfortable otherwise.
TThe MisadventuristsPerfect ski-in, ski-out resort for a couple. It had a great breakfast as well, and the room was super-comfortable. The onsen was small but very relaxing. The ski shop next door has the friendliest attendants and all the equipment you could need for a day on the Annapuri slopes. The lobby was comfortable with a gas stove and hot chocolate, and the four resorts in the same area all have a free shuttle that runs many times per day to the town of Hirafu and back, so you have plenty of options for shopping and restaurants nearby. Very nice place. We will return for sure!
