Amazing hotel! I loved the room and the facilities provided (gym and launderette). Easy distance from restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and chemists.
Really clean and comfort based.
The only thing that disappointed me was that had I booked a premier studio room (hoping that’s the correct term) with a harbor view but was allocated a room with no view (city or harbor) upon check-in. Had to request for a different room and the staff were happy to reallocate but I believe the room was a less expensive one (since I lost the premier studio facilities) and was not offered any refunds for that.

The hotel is located in an excellent location in the heart of the Sydney CBD. The rooms are spacious and clean however a bit dated. Although the room was pre-paid my card was charged for a second time. I pointed this out to the front desk staff and it was quickly resolved although I wonder how often that happens. The entire hotel is in need of a refurb so not sure the rooms are worth the price however it served my purposes and was not a bad experience.

I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood and found the experience to be satisfactory. The hotel's location is convenient, situated within a short walking distance to public transport and a shopping center, which made exploring the area quite easy.
The room was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable environment for rest. However, I noticed that the breakfast options were somewhat limited, which was a slight drawback.
The rooftop pool and Skye Bar were highlights of the stay, offering a pleasant space to relax and enjoy views of the city.
Overall, while there were some areas that could benefit from improvement, my stay at the Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood was acceptable and met basic expectations.

Lobby impressionante. Bello ristorante e bar. Il desk front è gentile ed efficiente se un po 'freddo e robotico.
Le camere non sono pronte dall'esterno- soggiorno al quarto livello in una camera deluxe- finestre non erano doppio vetro e sigillato era povero- traffico e rumore stradale udibile e disturbante per dormire. In caso contrario, la camera era abbastanza comoda - il letto era comodo, le strutture abituali e una panoramica TV abbastanza grande.
In generale, non sono sicuro se ritornerò, dato il basso livello di rumore delle camere, l'unico vantaggio è la sua vicinanza al terminale aeroportuale internazionale, altrimenti solo un soggiorno medio.

State a 5 notti in questo hotel durante il New Year New Year. Situato vicino alla stazione ferroviaria, a soli 2 minuti a piedi dalla stazione Green Square, da cui si può accedere alla città convenientemente.
C'è un McDonald's vicino, così si può mangiare anche durante le vacanze pubbliche. La stanza è tranquilla e pulita e le strutture (aria condizionata con funzionalità di riscaldamento e freddo, forno a microonde, macchina espresso, lavastoviglie e asciugacapelli) sono di buona qualità e facile da usare. La matita del cane da letto era comoda, e le piastrelle sono solo normali piastrelle morbide e firme; tuttavia, vorrei che l'hotel potesse fornire piastrelle top perché preferisco le piastrelle firme. Anche se ho portato con me la mia cucchiaia di contorno, ho ancora mal di testa con dolore al collo per gli ultimi tre giorni di soggiorno a causa della materassi. E'stato anche allarme di evacuazione d'emergenza, la mattina del 30 dicembre, e tutti gli ospiti dell'hotel sono stati chiamati a evacuare immediatamente. L'allarme è avvenuto due volte quella mattina e mi sono svegliato improvvisamente, in modo che non potessi dormire bene quel giorno. In generale, questo hotel è buono per il soggiorno e vorrei tornare a questo hotel se forniscono mattresse firme o mattress tops la prossima volta.

We were greeted by a very friendly asian man receptionist even if we arrived too early. We had marvelous time following his suggestion to look around close market. The hotel is very luxurious & clean. Located close to all the great attractions as well as the airport. Especially, the fast checkout option was very convenient. Wish they had postcards with historic information about this hotel and if I could have sent postcards to my family back in Korea since this hotel is a historic place(post office building). I'm looking forward to coming back to Sydney and staying here again and exploring other branches around the world.

The location is really central and convenient for shopping and access to the main attractions in Sydney. The food from the restaurant was excellent, and prices are reasonable.
The buffet breakfast was also good, but could be better with slightly more variation, especially since we stayed for 5 nights.
Our room was booked for 3 people, but we were only provided with two towels and no extra pillow. Additionally, the glass windows could be cleaner.

VVSingWhen I booked two Deluxe Family Rooms at Furama Darling Harbour for a 6-day stay with family, I had high hopes for comfort, convenience, and a pleasant experience. Here’s how it went.
Location: Convenient, but Parking Woes
The location of Furama Darling Harbour is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Nestled within walking distance of numerous restaurants offering cuisines from all over the globe, it was a food lover's dream. Finding the hotel wasn’t a challenge either, thanks to clear signage and central placement.
However, the parking situation? That’s another story. The hotel doesn’t have an on-site parking lot. Instead, we had to park about a five-minute walk away, which isn’t ideal when lugging bags or dealing with Sydney’s occasional drizzle. Plus, the cost added up—$244 AUD for six days. If parking convenience matters to you, it’s worth factoring this in.
Cleanliness: Mixed Experiences
Cleanliness was... average, to say the least. While the first day seemed fine, housekeeping didn’t exactly shine as the stay went on. On Day 2, we were surprised (and not in a good way) to find dirty towels left after the room was cleaned. Fast forward to Day 5, and we found toilet paper and stray hairs under the blanket after housekeeping had supposedly “refreshed” the space. Not exactly the five-star housekeeping you’d hope for.
To be fair, we didn’t raise the issue with reception that evening—it was our last night, and we figured housekeeping staff would already be off-duty. But, as a guest, you shouldn’t have to weigh these options.
Service: Quick and Friendly, But a Breakfast Mishap
Service at Furama Darling Harbour was a bright spot overall. The staff were warm, responsive, and accommodating, whether it was resolving issues with the TV or bringing up extra towels.
That said, we hit a snag with the included breakfast. Our booking clearly stated breakfast for four people per room, which should have covered eight of us across two rooms. Yet, when we went down, they claimed the booking only covered four breakfasts total. After some back-and-forth with both hotel staff and Trip’s customer service, the issue was resolved. But it wasn’t exactly a stress-free start to the day.
Facilities: Functional, But Nothing Fancy
The gym was basic but functional—a single machine covering major muscle groups, though no free weights were in sight. It’s fine if you’re just looking to get in a quick workout. The laundry room was handy, though a bit pricey: $5 AUD each to wash and dry, plus $3 AUD for detergent.
Breakfast, while initially enjoyable, became repetitive after two days. A buffet should ideally offer more variety, but here the options changed only slightly. Updating the in-room TVs to include smart features wouldn’t hurt either; it felt like the tech was stuck in the past.
Rooms: Spacious and Comfortable
Now, for the standout feature—the rooms. They were impressively spacious, with plenty of room for our luggage and still enough space to move around comfortably. The beds? Absolute heaven. I slept like a rock every night, with no noise disturbances or distractions.
The bathroom mirrored this sense of space, steering clear of that cramped, claustrophobic feeling that some hotels suffer from. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that values comfort this much.
Final Thoughts: Worth a Stay, Despite Flaws
Would I recommend Furama Darling Harbour? Absolutely, especially for families. The spacious rooms, friendly service, and fantastic location make it a strong contender. Yes, cleanliness and parking could use improvement, but the positives—comfortable beds, quiet nights, and accommodating staff—outweigh the negatives.
If you can overlook a few quirks and minor inconveniences, Furama offers a good home base for exploring Sydney. Just be ready for some parking acrobatics and keep an eye on those housekeeping details!

JJidaniOdio dire, ma penso di aver avuto un bug a me stesso la gamba, la prima notte, ma il personale mi ha offerto di cambiare la stanza, perché la prima stanza che ho soggiornato ha una ragazza che sembra rimanere qui per molto tempo. La maggior parte della gente qui è in un visto di lavoro e vacanza, non un vero viaggiatore, è molto stupido per me cercare di fare alcuni amici mentre ero qui 😅

UUtente ospiteMy first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3.
The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”.
Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review.
1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels.
2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative.
3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious.
4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable.
Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

DDiamondgirl12Great location within walking distance of good sights. Room was clean and showers and toilets were better than I imagined! Not a lover of sharing but it wasn’t bad at all. Was able to store my luggage there when I couldn’t check in yet, and after I checked out. Reception area was nice and welcoming. Would have been nice to have had towels provided or at least got the full amount back on return. Seems a little odd having to pay for them and give them back, if I’d have known I would have taken my own. Didn’t have time to eat in the cafe downstairs as there were so many other places in Sydney I wanted to visit but it looked good! The noise in the club below was very loud and did keep me awake until the early hours!

PPriya24L'hotel è vicino all'università Macquirie e accanto c'è un bar dove prendere degli spuntini. La colazione gratuita è un vantaggio ma può fare di meglio con le varietà. Rimanendo lì più di 2 giorni, sceglierai di mangiare fuori per colazione. La lavanderia e la palestra sono luoghi piccoli ma comunque comodi. La biancheria da letto è eccezionalmente confortevole.

Rooms seemed new possibly because they have been refurbished, very generous size and everything you need in a business hotel. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit Sydney!

La stanza è ampia e attrezzata con piano cottura, tavolo da pranzo, macchina per il caffè, pentole, stoviglie, lavatrice e asciugatrice, è molto comoda e confortevole per il nostro soggiorno di 10 giorni. Nelle vicinanze sono presenti numerosi ristoranti, tra cui cinesi, tailandesi, giapponesi, vietnamiti e occidentali. È a pochi passi da grandi magazzini e centri commerciali.

UUtente ospiteWe booked this accommodation due to its proximity to a nearby stadium venue, where we were going to in the evening. We were advised by ”in the know friend” that the overall area is not the kind you want to be out socially alone in after dark hours. This was evident, as 2 Police officers were in the sporting club venue, as we arrived back around midnight, looking for a person of interest. This was of no concern to us, we were not asked questions by the police, It's just that the police had the only staff working that night, attending to their needs. As part of the accommodation offer, we were generously offered a free drink of wine or beer. We were looking to have a drink before retiring to our rooms, so the staff were caught up with the police officers. My group did to other things, like checked out the TAB and seating in the bar area while waited. ( all very clean & tidy btw) We were eventually attended to and we move on, No worries there, my comments are just to highlight the overall societal concerns of Greenacres area after dark, as we could briefly hear the conversations and requests between the police and staff.
Nevertheless. just speaking about the accomodation, my room was very clean & tidy, I appreciated the air conditioner being on already, as I entered the room. I had all the basic necessities that I needed: towel, fridge, kettle etc. The bathroom & toilets were shared, it was disappointing to see one that in one of the two toilets available, had broken seat that wasn't hinged to the toilet (it looked untidy and it was unknown for how long the seat has been broken). Overall I was very comfortable, i felt safe, I had a great sleep. The next morning, I took advantage of the 2 minute walk to the nearby supermarket for some groceries, the Sunday morning staff all greeted me with a ”good morning,” which was pleasant to hear and made me smile. Returning items to the fridge in my room, I then went back out for a walk lovely walk in the sunshine along the shopping *****, for fresh coffee & food from one of the many family run bakeries just 1 minute down the street from the accommodation. Overall i had a nice pleasant experience!

Gli aspetti negativi sono
- questo è un vecchio hotel e per quel prezzo credo che potrei ottenere più servizi di qui
- il letto è molto piccolo (più piccolo di un letto matrimoniale)
- anche la hall è molto piccola (ma puoi prendere un caffè gratis nella hall)
- puzzolente
Quando esci dall'ascensore, senti un odore che è come vecchio e cibo non so cosa sia ma è così puzzolente.
Per le pulizie cambiano sempre gli asciugamani e ci aiutano a buttare la spazzatura.
