I booked a reservation through their website for a Deluxe Room with Spa Access. This was an expensive room, considering it did not include breakfast, a robe, a towel, etc. I booked the reservation directly through the hotel's website, with an understanding that it can be canceled up to 48 hours prior to arrival. I tried to cancel over a month in advance, and the hotel refused. The hotel falsely claimed that I booked through *********** and they did not have the authority to cancel this reservation. I knew this was false, but to entertain this idea, I contacted *********** and they claimed that they did not have a reservation under my name for Thermen Bussloo. When I explained this to Thermen Bussloo's management, they did not believe me and told me that they could not cancel my reservation. I retraced my booking steps, and noticed that a company called Hoteliers handles the hotel's reservations. Hoteliers confirmed that I booked directly through Thermen Bussloo's website. Still, Thermen Bussloo claimed that that they did not have the authority to cancel my reservation. After dozens of emails, Hoteliers contacted Thermen Bussloo and explained that it was their prerogative to cancel the reservation. Only after this was done, the hotel agreed to cancel. I expect much better service from a four star hotel and do not recommend anyone stay at this hotel (too expensive, not a good bang for your euro, and rude management).
