Stayed at Zulu rock for 4 nights and saw 4 out of the big 5 (didn’t see the leopard). Had a wonderful experience watching a female lion from within 2 metres and also cheetahs on 4 occasions. One of these occasions was 5 cheetahs sitting under the tree outside room 7. Hardy the guide was very friendly and enjoyed the game drives. Kevin who did the bush walk was excellent and so knowledgable. The good was exceptional and service out of this world. We were a little apprehensive about staying here as the reserve is very new but we look forward to seeing how it develops in the future as we had an excellent experience.

we stayed at Zulu Rock lodge for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The room was incredible and the views were stunning. The entire staff is extremely accommodating and so friendly. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The game drives were great, however, it is not promised you will see the Big 5 as the reserve is still growing. Our guide, Hardy, was very knowledgable and funny. Overall, we had an incredible stay and would recommend!

This is an amazing experience: beautiful lodge; great scenery; great food; lovely staff and experienced guides. Our every need was catered for, including a full day's trip to the Zulu battlefields. It's a long drive up from Durban, but definitely worth it for an amazing experience.

Wow, what a beautiful reserve. Rock lodge is perched on top of the hill with the whole valley laid out in front. We stayed in the luxury accommodation as it was a bit further from reception and the rooms are exceptional. Very friendly staff see to your needs and delicious meals were served up. At this stage there isn’t a huge amount of game but just driving around the reserve is a treat.

I stayed at the lodge for 2 nights and I loved every part of it! We stayed in the family villa, it’s very nice and comfortable. You have a very pretty view over the game reserve from the lodge. Furthermore, the food was amazing and the staff was so nice and welcoming. We also loved the game drives with our guide Mandla, who put a lot of effort into finding as much animals as possible. You get so much value for money at this lodge!

Hidden gem! The rooms are beautiful with a fireplace for the cold winter nights. Food was very good. Staff amazing and the guides have a true passion for their animals. We will definitely visit again!

I loved it here the service of londi was amazing I loved how kind she and the staff are! And I love that it is up in mountains and you definitely can relax. The ranger sboniso is very good. He intruduced us to the beautifull nature, with respect for the animals, birds and flora. The lodge is comfortable and very good. l would recommend this to anyone!

Our stay At Zulu Rock Lodge was truly fantastic and the accommodation was luxurious. The environment was spectacular. The staff was exceptionally friendly and cater for all our needs. I will highly recommend this private game reserve to everyone.
