MGM RESERVE HOTEL ZHUHAI

MGM is a newly opened hotel in Zhuhai. Although it is not at the prime travellers location, it is in Xiangshan and full of Lingnan feels. Everything is so new and clean, with excellent services and spacious rooms. I booked the hotel last minute for my birthday break and it is really come to my surprise that everything are so high quality. I had dinner in western restaurant and it’s money worth. Breakfast is also great. When manager Angie Huang knew it’s my birthday she arrange me a birthday cake and it’s much appreciated. Overall it’s a great experience and I highly recommend you to try. I will be definitely pick MGM again and try booking the villa.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in China. Although only recently opened in May 2025, the team has showed a seasoned manner in providing top notch service. A total travel time of 2hrs to get here from HK it is certainly worth coming. The restaurants were very good too although they can improve the acoustics of the space a bit more.

I stayed at the MGM Reserve Zhuhai yesterday. While the check-in process encountered some initial hiccups, Ms. Cao, the Assistant Manager, swiftly intervened and efficiently resolved the issue, which we greatly appreciated. The breakfast offered a delightful ambiance with its elegant setting, though the sheer newness of the hotel and the high volume of guests led to noticeable chaos during peak breakfast hours. During the summer vacation period, securing a desirable dining spot requires advance reservations. Overall, however, our impression was positive. The hotel boasts stunning aesthetics and maintains a remarkably serene atmosphere throughout the property

MGM Reserve Zhuhai, opened in mid 2025 at eight eight eight Jianmin Road, Xiangzhou District, is a stunning luxury retreat. Nestled near Phoenix Mountain and Xiangshan Lake, it offers a serene escape with one hundred fifty-five elegant rooms, private villas with balconies overlooking lush gardens, and three unique restaurants. Its tranquil garden resort vibe sets it apart from urban hotels like St. Regis Zhuhai, blending modern luxury with Chinese hospitality. Staff like waiters deliver excellent service but could smile and chat a bit more, while Jeffrey and King shine with exceptional care. Expect high-end amenities like spa-like bathrooms with rainfall showers, though details are limited. Perfect for a calm, upscale getaway. Some things to note is that some of the grounds remain closed and it’s very quiet at night. The gardens could do with some more lights during the evening as it gets dark here at 19:20 all year round. Also the swimming pool is nice.
