Great location, clean facilities, family friendly, exclusive breakfast, friendly and helpful hotel staff, great rooms, and many more. They even upgraded our room as a gesture. Every year, when we come to the Island Crossing Ultra Trail, we plan to stay at this hotel. Highly recommend it.

Vai alla spiaggia per un po' di sera e tornare molto conveniente. Il capo ha un buon lavoro, e quando è fuori per mangiare, mangia qui.E ci sono due cani molto carini e familiari in negozio 🥰

What truly set Yicheng apart was the exceptional hospitality. The owner's dedication to ensuring a perfect stay was evident in every interaction. They were always readily available, radiating warmth and friendliness, and proactively offering assistance. It felt less like a hotel stay and more like being welcomed into a cherished friend's home.
The suite itself was a masterclass in modern comfort and thoughtful design. Every detail, from the sleek furnishings to the state-of-the-art amenities, was carefully curated to enhance the guest experience. The room was not only beautiful but also incredibly functional, providing all the conveniences one could desire.

SSharpPutoshan is well off the foreigner travel path and information in English is limited. That the nearest train station is a few hours away in Ningbo only makes it more complicated. That’s why I was happy to find this homestay/hotel with its helpful English speaking owner “良筑”. I called and he added me on WeChat to give me advice and drop me pins (hint:the “south” bus station in Ningbo is adjacent to the train station, next to the taxi queue). He explained where the four main sightseeing spots on the island were and gave me advice about how to tackle them in a day. As for the hotel itself, perfectly fine: clean and comfortable and affordable. Only disadvantage is it’s about a 10-15 minute drive to the ferry building, about an hour walk. But it’s easy to catch taxis to the hotel and then 良筑 will drive you back to town (about 20 rmb each way). Also, immediately across the street is an enormous new Buddhist temple with a really beautiful interior that I would have missed seeing if I hadn’t stayed at this hotel. It needs at least an hour. The nearby town is small but has many seafood restaurants. All in all, if you’re a foreigner with limited Chinese ability hoping to visit Putoshan, then this is probably the right hotel for you as 良筑 will help you to plan and organize your visit. Plan to arrive by midday and stay for two nights. You can see it all in that time.

MMaria13579One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh.
First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle.
The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got.
They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai.
Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure!
Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

Eravamo in tempo per il traghetto a Mt Putuo a causa delle condizioni meteorologiche, quel giorno i traghetti saranno cancellati, (dovremmo parlare in macchina quando ci ha preso dall'aeroporto), Ha detto che possiamo lasciare i bagagli al di fuori del desk e poi ci mandiamo al porto, bene che abbiamo fatto. È un ottimo servizio clienti!!! Non voleva nemmeno ottenere un consiglio, alla fine gli abbiamo dato dei pacchetti di mango secco dalle Filippine. Il tipo di front desk, anche se è una storia diversa, era molto lento, non sapeva come gestire il check-in dei titolari di passaporti stranieri, penso. Ha i nostri passaporti e doveva chiederci i nostri compleanni!! E' stato anche difficile per lui capire le date di visto (data di scadenza e data di emissione), e ha continuato a chiedere quando siamo arrivati, è solo lì contrassegnato la pagina del visto, siamo appena arrivati quel giorno, questo è il nostro primo hotel. In ogni caso, il pick-up gratuito dall'aeroporto è meglio e il trasporto gratuito al porto e poi infine anche alla stazione di autobus.

This is what I liked:
- buying ship ticket for May holiday was mission impossible, starting with Tickets App not accepting foreign passports. Hotel helped me with arranging the tickets both ways, even after there were no tickets online (sold out in 20 min)
- they arranged a pick us up on arrival and brought us back to the pier on departure
- hotel has an excellent sea view location, very silent and sea centric rooms, same for restaurant
- everything is modern, I specifically liked ability to share Apple screens on TV in the room, great way to review photos and watch own movies in the evening
- good breakfast 8 to 9AM, you can come 8:45 and enjoy a late breakfast as well; we also had late lunch in hotel restaurant on arrival, great food, great to seat outside, flexible working hours (not closed 14-17!), actually I liked their meals more than what we had on the main beach top restaurant, finally reception can brew you a coffee though bit hot
- there is 20 min walk from the hotel for a great bay and coffee place to watch sunset, excellent experience and no need to wake up early
- hotel was always online on WeChat to address any issues or questions, including how to organize a day, fantastic services!
- hotel has own beach area, looks like good to swim, I will consider for summer, water is clean on the island, and this is just couple of hours from Shanghai
- small drawback: fishing boats pass by from early morning, this may disturb your morning sleep ;)
- other thing the bed is a bit too hard for my back, but where did you see soft beds in China?
Overall: highly recommended!

UUtente ospiteIl servizio era buono, dai conducenti di autobus di carico ai servizi immediati del tecnico - abbiamo avuto difficoltà a rimettere in TV inizialmente. Tuttavia, siamo stati confusi con le fermate degli autobus dichiarate dall'hotel, poiché ci sono designate fermate degli autobus degli hotel che sono diverse dalle diverse fermate dei templi dove possono andare solo gli autobus pubblici.
La colazione non era grande ma adeguata. La stanza dell'hotel era comoda, ma non grande. Mi piace il design Zen. Le finestre erano aperte quando entrammo nella stanza dell'hotel, quindi ci erano due voli nella stanza. Abbiamo girato il rimbalzo della moschea elettrica. Fortunatamente non ci hanno disturbati. I visitatori non dovrebbero aprire le finestre quando si puliscono le stanze, in modo che gli insetti non vadano in camera. L'isola ha molti alberi, così ci sono insetti-mosche, voli, eccetera.
Le pareti sono sottili, ma ho sentito le camere vicine parlare lungo il corridoio e il cameriere arrivare al loro salvataggio dicendo che lui è il cameriere.
L'hotel si trova a pochi minuti a piedi dal mare, buono per una passeggiata serale.
La qualità è buona e la camera d'albergo è confortevole.
