Hotel in zona Filzenkapelle, Distretto di Zell am See

I have a complaint. Yesterday, I came to breakfast according to my reservation at the hotel. I did not find a table and I did not find anyone to receive me. So I went to a table where there was no one. I sat down to eat breakfast. I was surprised that the waiter asked me to leave the table in front of everyone, which embarrassed me in front of everyone present and put me at a far table. About the people, and I had to talk to the manager Marco to solve my problem. First, he refused to shake my hand. He showed me the guest list and that I was at the bottom of the list and did not deserve to be in view. He told me that he would reserve a table for me for tomorrow, but when I arrived today, I did not find my room number on any table nor anyone to guide me. Where is the professionalism in this dealing? Abbiamo soggiornato per quattro notti e abbiamo prenotato solo colazione. Abbiamo avuto grandi speranze, dato tutte le buone recensioni che l'hotel ha ricevuto. L'esperienza complessiva non era terribile, ma semplicemente deludente. La zona di accoglienza è piuttosto moderna e ristrutturata, ma le camere (o almeno le nostre) avevano visto giorni migliori e avrebbero dovuto essere ristrutturate 10 anni fa. Il punto è che la zona della piscina, che a volte era un po' piena di ricchezza e poco eccitazione per i bambini, è stata distrutta, e non c'era nessuna zona per i bambini più piccoli. Il letto stesso non era né buono né cattivo, ma le mutandine erano dure e forse vecchie, che li rendevano duri a dormire. La vista dalla stazione era una stazione ferroviaria e la strada principale che rendeva difficile avere le finestre aperte durante la notte, con conseguente una stanza molto calda per la maggior parte dei giorni. Il cibo del ristorante era in gran parte sgustoso, quindi abbiamo deciso di andare in città due di sera. La terrazza è bella e, insieme alla comodità, è stato solo motivo per cenare al ristorante un secondo giorno. La colazione aveva molte scelte e era buona, ma non più di quella. La maggior parte del personale era buona, spesso cercando di servire il meglio, anche se ciò includeva anche l’istruzione di alcuni adolescenti che lavoravano lì. Tuttavia, la ricezione era un punto molto basso. Sentivo di essere innocente e insopportabile davanti a noi mentre parlavamo con lei. Mi sentivo come questo hotel aspirasse a qualcosa di più grande, ma non ha avuto successo in nessuna zona - compromessi in tutto. Di solito ci sono alcune compromesse, ma era tutto infelicissima.

So, if you are looking for a budget hotel ..stop reading. This is “erste Klasse“, you pay and will get everything you need. The hotel is very modern, not at a traditional Austrian hotel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The every day cleaning is flawless. The breakfast is very.. I say very good… if you have included spa in your stay, you will enjoy something special… there different saunas.. spacious areas to relax… if you want to take a swim.. the hotel has two … indoor and outdoor.. it’s up to you… Why I love this hotel is that the service is great and the atmosphere is .. well it’s really relaxing.. you don’t get the feeling of that you are staying at a railway station.. if you get the feeling….but the downside is that you have to pay for this … well you only live once…

Only stayed the one night but we made most welcome in this huge hotel. Reminds me of a small cruise ship with 220 rooms, so a total of around 500 guests. The dining room is large but the buffet for evening meal starter and breakfast can only be described as “obscene”. There is so much choice, it can take you half an hour just to walk around the huge array of food, I have never seen so much good quality food in one place. You would expect the evening meal not to be that good as they are catering for such a large amount of people but the food is well presented and you really can not fault it. We were given a lovely room, room 315 very modern with a comfortable bed, decent shower and lovely picture window and bed overlooking a beautiful view. The only bad thing was that we hit a hot spell and no air con, sleeping with the windows open let the odd fly and mozzie in at night which was a pain. We were on half board, lots of parking outside (for free) and inside garage (for a fee). We had free access to the huge swimming pool and spa complex and also their own hotel spa area and infinity pool which although so much smaller, we actually preferred. You are allowed access from 9am on the day of your arrival, we arrived at 11am thinking that we could use the facilities and get our room after 3. I think because they were quiet we were offered check in at 11am which was amazingly generous of them, check out is 11am the next day. As I said, the staff were lovely and although a huge hotel we were here in June so did not feel at all manic. Really nice experience but lacked a bit of sophistication if you are wanting something a little bit special. It was my birthday on the day we left and at breakfast they brought hubby and I a couple of glasses of champagne and a lovely chocolate cake with a sparkler on the top which really was a lovely touch (although s bit embarrassing) and actually very much appreciated.
