Parador de Sos del Rey Católico

El parador es muy bonito y muy cómodo, no le doy 5 estrellas porque me parece que falta más personal en el desayuno, (en la cena no sé porque nunca cené allí.), está todo muy limpio y las habitaciones son silenciosas y tienen unas vistas muy bonitas

A pesar de que tanto el servicio, la ubicación como el desayuno fueron muy bien y acordes a las expectativas de un parador, la habitación no cumplió dichas expectativas, y más después del precio de la misma.

We have stayed here a few times and every time it does not fail to impress, the staff and local are very friendly and welcoming with its views across the valley with the beautiful building large comfortable rooms and with a great breakfast, we love it and well worth a stay.

Like many this was our first stay in a Parador. We didn't know what to expect. It says 4 star but it felt like something much better. The quick and courteous check in with Nacho and Nerea was a delight. The room was extremely comfortable and very spacious. What I loved was the cleanliness. The cleaning staff must be the best in Spain. At the restaurant we were treated very nicely and had amazing food on our plates at exactly the right time. Our free breakfast was one on the best we have had in years. This hotel is first class in every way and we commend the manager for his excellent leadership. We strongly recommend a stay at this Parador. Thank you to all the team!

Hotel is not a vastly historic one but the building is pleasant and the rooms very much what you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Free parking is much appreciated. Now given the options for a meal are limited in the village, expect the hotel dinning to be busy. We had to book, not only to eat but we had to negotiate the time. We found the menu almost whimsical, with no clear distinction between courses. We were not allowed to see the sweets menu until we were needing it: so no chance of selecting a balanced meal. The staff appeared to walk quickly and be busy but I concluded it was inefficiency in action. Gaps in service throughout the meal and asking for some vegetables which never arrived was almost comical. With no server consistency it was left to the maitre d to spot the gaps and to prompt service. He appeared to earn his wages and was working very hard; sailing against the tide of motivation and inefficiency. On paying the bill, we pointed out to the waiter who took the order that we had not received the vegetables. His reply was a single comment that he had told the chef! This service was not repeated at breakfast time as it was a buffet. The food here was good and DIY service satisfactory. Other matters need to be addressed. The staff on reception were unwelcoming. Luggage can be dropped outside the door but the car has to be left in a lower car park. However the lane is narrow and the only real space to turn around was filled by the hotel's own minibus. I therfore had to back my hire car down and around the bend. The minibus should be removed and the space left to do a 3 point turn. In summary, the place is pleasant enough but management needs to get a grip, it could be so much better

Fabulous location, food and experience. The only improvement they could make would be to have a gym/fitness centre in one of the unused downstairs rooms. We will stay there again.

Fabulous historic building in ancient village - staff are extremely professional - plenty of parking - public areas are a little 'dark' but it is a very old building ! The bar itself is not too inviting but you can enjoy a drink on the lovely terrace - the restaurant is impressive but the dinner was nothing special - breakfast was very good - our bedroom was very spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped.

Very nice parador in a very nice town and area. What a view! Staff is very friendly. Dinner is very good and also the breakfast is very good. Really recommend this parador

This is a wonderful place for a short stay, in a tranquil rural location. The village is charming and the Parador is tastefully decorated, well-designed and comfortable. The only thing it is missing and which would bring us back for a longer stay it lacks is a pool, which probably isn't possible in this spot. We would definitely return for an overnight stay.
