Center Parcs Zandvoort Beach

Stayed in September in a lodge. Kitchen and living room area brilliant, think the rooms were basic and lacked space. For us the location was brilliant. So close to the beach and a 30 min train journey to Amsterdam. 10 min train to Haarlem. You feel like you are not just trapped in the parc like you are in English ones. Zandvoort town was lovely too. I thought the free €30 gift voucher for activity or gift shop was generous. Pool was fab and soft play. Perhaps not as many activities as UK but it doesn’t matter as so closed to nice towns. Didn’t like the fact you had to pay for towels though

This Centerparcs is in a great location for visiting the beach but also close to the train with regular services to Haarlem and Amsterdam We loved our accommodation and the aqua mondo pool. In parts the park feels a bit dated and could do with a bit more maintenance e.g. painting. But this may be due to being the end of the summer season

The site is pleasant and the activities are good although somewhat expensive for some things. We stayed in a 3 bed right at the back of the site. The beds were possibly some of the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. Given a pack with two normal pillows but then only one odd shaped pillow that was almost flat. All the family slept very badly all week. There is absolutely no storage for food in the kitchen. The living room/kitchen is a big room but no cupboards to put a box of cereal or crisps. Our neighbours had sun loungers but we only had a table and chairs outside. It was very run down with broken bits outside. Activities were easily bookable but very little to do outside of this. Swimming pool had very few available seats so children went to the pool for a couple of hours then came back rather than spending the whole day by the pool. Food was generally expensive and pretty poor. Frites made nice chips but the chicken was grey and children refused to eat it. The Grill was so expensive. Vegetarian offer was almost non-existent. Staff were lovely especially the entertainment staff. Multi languages and working very hard. Even the kids were happy to come home. Definitely wouldn’t go again.

Do not stay here. It's dirty and outdated and old. VIP accommodation was dirty and mouldy. Couldn't use most of the perks staff just said it's expected due to date of things. Similar to a previous reviewer the plumbing in the house was faulty, upon arrival the sauna and jacuzzi smelt of stale water and it filled the whole house. Maintenance came said nothing they could do Cleaners were sent once I complained again and they came fast and sprayed cleaning product, but they should have put us in a different home, and more fundamentally address the issue. As they had to come back the next day and do it again, by the end of 7 days the plumbing in the whole house was awful. Service was terrible, we had a Dutch card explaining coeliac and cross contamination but each time we were given gluten. Swimming pool was dirty and never saw anyone cleaning it despite sending several hours in there. Changing rooms were old and there was a dirty nappy left for two days under a seat in changing rooms. Wheelchair accessible chair for swimming was mouldy and broken. The outdoor pool was supposed to be heated but it was always quite cold. Virtually no staff. We rented bikes but they were so old and rusty, staff were lovely but she was on her own. I'm 5 foot and no bike was small enough for me, was very disappointing. There is only two washing machines for the whole complex and it's not advertised. Pavements and walk ways were cracked and damaged.

We have been coming to this Centerparcs for 10 years now as we have some family nearby and it is a great place to stay. Especially since they have redecorated the lodges which makes them more modern and comfortable. The main attraction of this park is its location. Right near the fantastic miles of beaches with various beach bars and restaurants, also close to Zandvoort town and the station. As a Centerparcs it is not of the same standard as the ones in the UK. But location more than makes up for this, and there is still plenty to do on site to keep the kids happy, including the swimming pool with the rapid rapids. Do be aware that you will have to book sheets and towels separately (unlike in the uk) and do not expect your beds to be made. And in the off season most beach restaurants will close their kitchens fairly early. But all in all this is a great place to spend a week, especially as a base to explore the Netherlands from.

The 'bungalow' [house to us] was a 6 bed VIP one. Loved the sauna and jacuzzi. There were 5 of us and the smallest bedroom was a bit cramped, but if you're only sleeping there, it's fine. The kitchen was well equipped - not just the one knife fork and spoon per person! The boys loved the aqua centre and our 13yr old especially enjoyed the rapids [which he called the lazy river - it's not!] and apparently went down over 400 times. The park itself was clean and well kept. We were nicely situated - not too far from the centre, not too far from the beach. Liked the bowling idea of paying for an hour, not just a game As like all Center Parcs, extras work out expensive for a family - we hired bikes on 2 days as we weren't sure if we would use them much, but I'd advise hiring them for the week, cost-wise. Restaurants on site were limited in choice, closed 8 or 8:30 and we didn't think they were great value for money; likewise the onsite shop was expensive

We stayed for 7 nights in a vip lodge. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and we loved the daily bread delivery. The jacuzzi bath and sauna were a lovely treat especially as the weather was very windy and rainy during our visit. The kids loved the Aqua Mundo especially the wild river and Aqua cinema . Ghe wave pool wsdnt working. My only criticism would be of the pool rule that children must wear a life jacket or float if they are unable to swim less than 50 meters. Not something I have come across at other centre parks in the UK or France. We wanted our son who is 7 and can swim 25 meters to practice his swimming daily whilst on holiday but wasn't able do this ,as when I took his vest off I was pounced upon by a lifeguard and told he must wear it. I explained that he can swim and plus the jacket was rubbing him I was told that he must wear something and I had to be with him at all times and not even my teenage daughter could accompany him on the wild river. So no resting by the pool for me watching the kids have fun. I get that they have to ensure safety but it was too strict in my opinion. The bowling, action factory and mini golf were good. The daily food store was well stocked but very expensive compared to the local supermarket Dirk which was only a short walk away. We didn't eat at any of on on site resturants but can recommend Mangos beach bar on the beach for tapas and De zeerover for pancakes. The beach is lovely and very close by. The train station is only a 10min walk with trains direct into Amsterdam. All in all a lovely break away.

This park is not even close to the standard I’d expect from Center Parcs. After visiting Vossemereen in 2021 and loving it, we had high expectations. I feel like I’ve been transported back to 1974, it’s so dated and needs a full overhaul and refurb. It looks like it hasn’t been maintained at all over the winter, there are weeds everywhere and the pool looks (and feels!) like it hasn’t been cleaned since it was installed. The market area is small and not even fully open, not sure why in mid summer. The kids are having fun because they’re blind to this stuff but I am so disappointed that we’ve travelled all the way from the UK to here for our only summer holiday. I asked customer services if we could move to a different park mid week and they asked if it was a serious question and no I can’t. Stay clear!
