The hotel is located inside the walled old city, so you'll need to park outside. If you're getting dropped off the quickest way (about 5 mins) is through the new gate (Nova vrata) and go straight along Ul. Jurja Barakovica to Narodni Square (Narodni trg). The hotel is around the corner from the Ethnographic Museum by going down Ul. Široka. At the ground floor is the NOMU sushi & wine bar, the entrance to the hotel however is just around the corner, off a laneway (Ul. Majke Margarite). There is no lobby just a small counter at the back of the restaurant. The hotel is small, with three rooms to a floor. The rooms themselves are modern, clean and relatively spacious, with a large ensuite bathroom. The bed was super comfortable, it had good functioning a/c and the windows out over the street were fairly well soundproof, with blackout curtains. The breakfast was served at our table on a three-tier tray, with croissants, meat, breads, jams, and cheese. They also provide coffee, freshly squeezed juice and eggs to the order. We did get a bit confused with the parking arrangements at first however it appears you don't pay for your parking but wait to get a parking infringement. Once you get one infringement you don't get any further infringements and then you just pay the infringement online. This is a great little modern hotel perfectly located in the middle of the old town, which means it is within walking distance of all the shops, attractions and restaurants in Zadar.

We stayed for one night in this charming luxury boutique hotel located just near the wall on the edge of the old town. Our designer suite, one of a handful of special rooms each uniquely designed and outfitted was #2 on the second floor and we had a nice view to the water over the wall. Overall we loved the room with it’s separate large seating area, big king bed and sizable modern bathroom. Our room was designed in pale blue, gray and beige with one of a kind fixtures. It was elegant and modern feeling. In general this would be a no-brainer 5 star for me but there were just a couple of things that need some attention. 1. Bed comfort-really the pillows-rock hard and making for less than ideal sleep 2. You can’t control your own room temperature-in order to cool the room, we needed to call the front desk and tell them the temperature we’d like-this despite having a control on the wall. While I’ve certainly encountered rooms where management has sneakily set limits on thermostats for cooling, I’ve never come across anything like this in the hundreds of hotels I’ve visited and it really stands out in a hotel of this caliber-especially since this is a Relais & Chareaux property. That said, there’s lots to like here. The staff was great and friendly and they have limited on site parking although you need to leave your keys. Breakfast was included and there is a highly rated Michelin star restaurant on site. Definitely recommended

We truly loved our stay here - Elena was great fun, tireless, and a terrific resource in helping us plan our daily activities - our room was wonderful, we stayed in the annex in the Von Trapp room! The main building was formerly a French Military Hospital which was meticulously renovated to create a charming boutique hotel appointed with art on original stone and brick walls and a wonderful garden dining area for breakfast! The location is perfect - short walk to the Sea Organ in one direction and St Donatus and the Zadar Cathedral in the other! We also would highly recommend restaurant Corte at the hotel!
