Hotel in zona Sito Archeologico di Lepreos, Zacharo

Instead of staying at this hotel, we especially drove to this accommodation 70 km from where we stayed, as we were recommended and subscribed to a cooking class that was held at the Apollo Art Hotel. It was a brilliant experience. After a warm welcome by the host Georgia with a refreshment, we were introduced to team cooking team with a glass of white wine. After some opening remarks on the meaning of true gastronomy, we were introduced into the 'secrets' of a couple of the most famous Greek dishes: Halvah, Tzatziki, Stuffed Tomatoes and - Bell Peppers, Greek Salad and Greek Bread. It was a great experience with pleasant companionship from some other hotel guests who were attending the class as well. The clinic was a nice mixture of watching experts cook and cooking ourselves and we had every occassion to ask the cooks every question we could think of. The best part of course was the finishing touch: After the cooking was done, we were invited to the roof terrace where we were to eat our own-made dinner while having some pleasant social talks with our fellow-participants, a good glass of wine and see the sunset at sea in a rich setting against the Kyparissia mountains. For us the exp[erience was certainly worth the drive and there's great value for money looking at the hospitality, the amount of food, the wine, the venue and the time spent on us. And, best of all, the recipes were shared with us, so we can do our home-cooking of Greek food whenever we like! A genuine recommendation!

La bella taverna locale che abbiamo soggiornato a casa Olimpia e voleva mangiare a casa nostra. Bacchus era solo un breve viaggio per noi. Anche questa è una pensione che non avevamo capito è un bel edificio rustico molto sotto la terra. Pensiamo che ci sia stato servito dal proprietario che ci ha dato un caloroso benvenuto. Abbiamo avuto abbastanza tempo per ordinare. Ho scelto i verdure grigliate per iniziare e mio marito la pecora spina, che abbiamo condiviso. mio marito ha scelto il maiale grigliato con patate. Ho scelto l'anca cucinata in pomodoro, entrambe le parti erano generose. Una buona selezione di bevande e dolci consiglio la torta al cioccolato. Il servizio era un po' fretta, ma era occupato con turisti e locali. Ideale fermata per un pasto locale. Utilizzavo il bagno e le strutture erano disgustose e decorate.

Bell'albergo in zona comoda per visitare (con mezzi autonomi) il sito principale. Camere grandi, spaziose e pulite. Noi avevamo una di quelle al piano terra vicino alla piscina e le consigliamo. Ottima accoglienza da parte del personale. Molto buona la prima colazione, anche in periodo COVID (con misure rigorosamente rispettate, per quello che abbiamo potuto vedere).

We stayed at Kronio Hotel during our visit to Olympia. The location is perfect, just a ten-minute walk to the museum and to the archeological site. We came during low season, so there were not many guests. The place is a little older, but good enough. The owner was very kind when he showed us to our room. He prepared a very nice breakfast for us in the morning. We enjoyed out stay and the kind hospitality extended by our host.
