Hotel con piscina a York

Very lovely hotel. We love the building and the room and the outside view from our room. Love the coffee machine in our room. Everything feels luxurious. This is the only hotel that provides bedroom slippers throughout our UK trip. Room with big bathroom is nice. There is a famous restaurant inside the hotel. Lucky to get a table without reservations. Paid parking at the hotel is a bit steep. Other than that, all good.

Our first visit to the Milner although it was originally named the principal when booked… for the nearly £220 for the 1 night stay….I was expecting utter grandeur… disappointing… yes the lounge area on the ground floor was lovely, the staff in Peaches restaurant for breakfast were warm and welcoming with a lovely breakfast. The room (323) wasn’t ready for 3pm check…. After a 2nd radio call out to house keeping our room was ready..We were eager to see our room, well it was small for what I was expecting as we hadn’t booked a smaller urban room…. the wallpaper in the upper corner of the room and damp stain needs attention and were not what I was hoping for , considering the price. A lovely spacious shower bathroom lifted my dissatisfied feeling…… but we were really expecting more for the money we paid, for our first trip to York together. The Milner is ideally located for the train station and a short walk takes you into the lovely historic York sites and shops…

We come every year between Xmas and new year for a short break and this year, even as we stepped through the front doors noticed a difference. Guests now have to pay to park at the hotel (£7.99 a night), the coffees at breakfast is no longer brought to the table, and no freshly made omelettes anymore! Rooms are not maintained each day by housekeeping, so after two nights we had to approach reception to ask them to empty our bins and replenish teas/coffees in the room. Front desk staff were friendly though staff at the leisure centre less so- quite abrupt in their manner! While we love it here for convenience we might look at alternative hotels in York next year!

We had a comfortable stay with a spacious room and great amenities. However, there was a party in the lobby during our stay that made the area quite crowded and noisy. Despite that, we still had a good experience overall and would recommend it for families.

Il personale è molto amichevole e utile, non ha avuto la possibilità di provare il cibo, quindi non posso commentare che, 10 minuti di cammino nel centro della città vicino alle corse di York, era pulito ma poteva sentire con pochi aggiornamenti in camera ma ogni volta che hai bisogno di un buon soggiorno a York

Country house style and first class attention to detail and service. If you are looking for a hotel in York(10min by taxi to centre), dont look any further.. A traditionally decorated drawing room for drinks before dinner which was excellent too… We stayed in a beautiful room 1 overlooking the main lawn and cedar tree, the bathroom was small but very adequate. Highly recommend..

Abbiamo soggiornato solo per una notte il 17 febbraio 2025 per celebrare il 96° compleanno di mia madre. Da quando siamo arrivati, il personale era sorprendente. Dalle salute che arrivano alla partenza ogni membro del personale era molto gentile, amichevole, utile e semplicemente così efficace.Devo dire che il direttore generale Emma era una bella signora che mostrava alla mia madre una favolosa attenzione con umorismo e fascino. L'hotel è stato ristrutturato e grande. Usavamo le strutture di svago e erano eccellenti. Mangiavamo pranzo e cena nel ristorante degli hotel. Ancora una volta la qualità del cibo e il servizio erano eccellenti. Vorremmo ringraziare l'intera squadra per la vostra efficiente ospitalità calda. Tutti meritate un salto !!!!! I held my ‘significant’ birthday party at the Parsonage and it was fabulous. I had the Crystal Suite which was perfect for my 40+ guests with a 6 piece live band and dance floor. All of the planning and preparation was seamless, with the team being flexible, efficient and helpful. We had 15 bedrooms, at a special rate, for guests who wanted to stay over. The team couldn’t do enough for us on the night. The food was delicious and all the guests complimented it. The service was both friendly and efficient. We had an absolutely top night and the whole event was great value for the quality we received. I’d heartily recommend for an event.
