Brilliant hotel, very clean and the staff were exceptionally helpful (especially since we had two little ones—they couldn’t help us enough). The room was lovely and had thoughtful luxuries like a coffee machine and premium toiletries. A fantastic, stress-free stay for the whole family! Will definitely be returning again.

We really enjoyed our stay, the location is ideal and the grounds were beautiful and quiet! The staff were very friendly, welcoming and professional! The only downside was that our room had only one plug socket that we could use.....just not enough these days, even just for basic needs..... very poor unfortuneatly. Air conditioning would have been welcomed, we would therefore definitely avoid this Hotel in summer months for this reason alone. One other small irritant, our bathroom had a glass shelf above the sink which tilited heavily towards the sink, so we had to be very careful to ensure things didn't keep falling over. Our breakfasts were excellent (apart from the Omelettes), and the service staff were very welcoming....a great start to any day!

Quite a place! Excellent surroundings including room, restaurant, lounge and grounds in general. Very nice service, very clean and quite refined all around. Breakfast and dinner choices were very good!

If you are looking for a wedding venue then look no further! Crathorne hall is absolutely beautiful and can cater for small or large weddings. I needed a venue with lots of room and we took all 37 rooms available (perfect!) The hotel itself and grounds are just beautiful! The team are impeccable and we have been looked after so well throughout the profess of planning the wedding and up until we checked out the morning after. Aurora was our wedding coordinator and ensured that everything was meticulously planned and executed. She was patient, kind and genuine. The team on the day were perfection, they personalised our wedding and there were so many little touches that made it even more special. Alan, Martin and Byron are a true credit to Crathorne hall. All my guests talked about the team and how fantastic they were. I only wish I could do it all again - thank you for making my wedding unforgettable x

I visited today with my husband to reminisce our wedding at this hotel in 2017, and what a special day it was too. We were greeted by Martin who was so friendly and helpful, and was happy to walk us round the rooms where we held our ceremony and reception. He kindly took several photographs of us too which was so kind of him. We have always enjoyed coming back to this hotel because of the friendly staff and wonderful food. The Chef at the hotel has worked in Michelin star hotels, so that tells you that the food would be excellent, and it was! We were given complimentary bubbles to wish us a happy anniversary , and Chef Miguel piped a plate with a chocolate message, and complimented it with beautiful truffles which were delicious! We even managed to say hello to his wife and daughter who were eating there too. They have relocated from Spain, so I urge you all to make a visit and try out the delicious menu. We will definitely be back..... and finally, how lovely was it to find Gloria who looked after us all during our wedding still working there; still as warm, friendly and bubbly as ever! Singing and dancing through the bar delivering food to the tables. We promise to be back more often, and thank you again for making our visit my so special and memorable.

I went with my wife, sister in law and Grandson on 2 September. We received a wonderful welcome from Gloria and had morning coffee and biscuits. After chatting for quite some time we decided to have lunch. The food was superb and Martin gave a treat of an ice cream to my 3 year old Grandson, he has a friend for life now. I had a lovely chat with the receptionist, who hails from Hungary, whom I think was called Kinga but I may be mistaken. All in all we were treated royally by all of the staff food and coffee superb. We had a wonderful stay at this exceptional stately hotel. Having stayed in similar properties, we’ve sometimes found that while the communal areas have been beautifully presented, the bedrooms and other areas can feel a little tired behind the facade. That certainly wasn’t the case here. The hotel was beautifully maintained throughout. The reception areas and bar were comfortable, elegant and welcoming, with plenty of lovely spaces to sit and relax. Outside, there are wonderful areas where you can enjoy a drink in the sunshine while overlooking the beautifully manicured gardens. It was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The staff were absolutely amazing — professional, polite, attentive and efficient throughout our stay. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and they really couldn’t have done any more to make us feel welcome. We didn’t dine at the hotel in the evening, but we did enjoy a delightful breakfast with an excellent choice of both hot and cold options. Our bedroom was particularly impressive. It was large, airy and spacious rather than the more typical boxed-in hotel room. It was very comfortable and had air conditioning, a large bath and good-quality toiletries — all lovely touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is just a few minutes outside Yarm, so you would need to drive or take a taxi if you want to visit the town. A taxi costs approximately £15, but we felt the peaceful setting was well worth it. Overall, this was a lovely, relaxing stay in a beautifully maintained hotel with outstanding staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be returning.
