UUtente ospiteIf you are in Penglai you definitely must stay at the Penglai Manshe Homestays. I can vouch that those stories you read about the amazing lady owner & her concern for her guests are indeed all true. In our case when we contacted her after booking she immediately responded. Then when we initially couldn’t place our Didi order to her place she offered to pick us up. It wasn’t necessary in the end but we were very moved by her thoughtfulness. Plus she was a ready fount of information regarding the attractions in the area. She also welcomes us to keep close contact with her on WeChat. So, if you stay here you are assured that you will be safe in her capable hands, something to consider for clueless foreign visitors!
The room itself was another wonder. She upgraded us to a ground floor room with smart facilities. The bright & airy room was indeed lovely. Everything was carefully planned and in smooth working order. The bedsheets & towels were good quality stuff. We absolutely love them. And don’t get me started on the location! It is walking distance to the Eight Immortals attraction and a short ride to Penglai Pavilion.
The seafood restaurant around the corner offers cheap but delicious seafood with huge portions. So this place definitely has a lot going for it!

There was a small issue with the first room I was assigned but this was quickly addressed when I brought it to the attention of the front desk - well done! AAquaNowThe Meiya International Hotel/Apartment offered worldclass service. The staff provides ample assistance and unending patience to foreign guests. Despite the language limitation, the hotel crew ensured that my requests are provided.
I booked the cheapest room available for my schedule. It was beyond value, loft type unit which gave a solo traveler like me a huge area to move around. the bed was big. the living area was a whole room by itself. there was a separate space for office work, a kitchen, and a spacious bathroom. Meiya is very generous with space.
My room had a view of the city, through its floor to ceiling window. It felt first class.
What was a bit confusing is the names used through trip.com: Meiya Hotel or Ramada Hotel or Fulitai Hotel.
The location was perfect for the conference I attended, just a few blocks away from Yantai International Expo. Commuting via train to neighboring cities like qingdao and weihai is also easy with the train station just 5 min drive away.
There are a couple of shopping malls nearby too.
Overall, I am happy with my stay at Meiya International. If given the chance to visit Yantai, I would definitely come and stay here again.

Our pick this time was Aloft Yantai. Of course, we achieved 100% of our travel goals. We ate well, rested comfortably, and had an incredibly enjoyable time. We were on cloud nine during our stay at Aloft Yantai! What made this trip even more meaningful than just accomplishing our travel goals was meeting a great friend—Eva Tong, the best hotelier at Westin&Aloft Yantai! With her positive energy, she leads the surrounding staff and provides the best service to customers. Eva is truly a born-to-be hotelier. Her thoughtful care for customers turned Westin&Aloft Yantai into a hotel with 100% loyalty from four of its guests. We will definitely visit as often as we can in the future and will work on effective viral marketing for Westin&Aloft Yantai. Lastly, I’d like to express my gratitude to all the wonderful staff who did their best during our stay.

PPeterKThe hotel is a very convenient location with a shopping mall across the street and many restaurants and shops right around the corner. The room was spacious and a comfortable bed with good WiFi and an English news channel on the tv. I didn’t have a chance to try the breakfast but the lobby and breakfast room looked very nice. The only strange thing was the bathroom door is also the shower door so if you are traveling with someone that could be kind of awkward. Never saw that before haha. If you need to be in kaifaqu district I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again next time.

TThuliI recently stayed at BUENA VISTA COAST and had a wonderful experience. The cleanliness of the room was exceptional, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to rest after a long day exploring. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had everything.

Il bagno dell'hotel offre una tavola da piscina all'interno, ma quando ci siamo andati a farlo, si stava prelevando 40RMB per ora, che è molto costoso. Should be free considering it’s a 5 star hotel, plus they have mini cars outside which you can rent but they wanted 300RMB per hour!! I almost fell over when they said that. UUtente ospiteExtremely clean, very large space with excellent aircon and water pressure. The room has an attached ”kitchen”, which I did not know was included! It was a terrific space, and would be especially great for families or large groups. There are no restaurants in this location, only the breakfast facility. Breakfast was Chinese buffet breakfast, with several options and was satisfactory. You can also eat breakfast on their outdoor patio, which was pleasant! Sadly, the coffee shop was not open when I was there. I walked about 15 minutes down the beachfront to another hotel's coffee shop--it was nice but expensive. The location is very close to the bridge leading to Yangma Island and the bus stop is nearby. The beach directly across from the hotel is a giant mud-flat beach. It is NOT a swimming or bathing beach! When tide is in, it is very flat and shallow, when tide is out, it is muddy and you can take a bucket to find little creatures. There is not a good swimming beach at this location, but I took a bus northwest to go swimming.
Service was friendly, but non-Chinese guests should use patience--the friendly ladies at the desk do not speak English. They are helpful to find food/snacks/shops nearby.
Overall, it feels like staying in a small apartment rather than a hotel, with nice plants around the property and a homey feeling.
