Hotel Hotel con sorgenti termali a Yamanouchi

We wanted to stay in a traditional ryokan with access to hot spring baths and Kanaguya ticked all the boxes. I found this guesthouse while researching onsen close to the snow monkey park near Yudanaka Station, which we planned to visit. The fact that it is cited as inspiration for the bathhouse in Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away was another reason for us to want to stay here. A beautiful traditional wooden guesthouse with eight baths, five of them private, and also access to the nine public baths in Shibu Onsen town (although we found these far too hot to actually bathe in, we enjoyed collecting all the stamps on a special towel!). Our room was Japanese style with sliding doors, tatami mats and futons. There was a bath and WC, but no shower, but it’s expected that guests use the hot spring baths available. All amenities are provided including yukata, obi belt, jacket, bathing supplies, and each bath has washing soap, shampoo and conditioner in dispensers. Staff were very friendly, and so polite, although the majority had limited English we did use google translate at times. The multi course dinners were amazing, served in the exquisite dining room at the top of the house, which was originally a theatre, at traditional low tables and seats. Served in beautiful individual ceramic dishes, with multiple appetisers, followed by main dishes, miso soup, rice, and lastly desert. Although not everything was to our taste, the presentation was amazing and it was a wonderful experience trying so many different flavours. We stayed two nights, and the meals were different each night. The guesthouse has a limited website page in English which directs foreigners to book via a specific third party (tour operator), but when I contacted her via the provided email was told the ryokan was closed for renovations during our preferred dates! Not helpful, as presumably they only wish to sell you a tour! I then did a wider search and found the ryokan available to book on Trip.com. Clearly it was not closed! I would definitely recommend staying at Kanaguya and visiting Shibu Onsen if you wish to experience a traditional ryokan.

Small and cute place to be. Once you get to the train station or bus stop, give them a call and they will come pick you up. You can walk if you want, but it does go uphill a little bit if you have suitcase with you. Staff is really nice and accommodating. We did have one of our friends ending up pregnant on the trip after we had booked the trip and she was not able to eat many of the foods. They were really nice and worked with what she could eat and even gave her a little omamori (like a charm) for her healthy and safe pregnancy and birth. Would recommend to others. The individual onsen in each room is wonderful and if you want to have more people gather together, get the bigger rooms. Mt. Fuji is visible but understand that it depends on time of day and season. Due to the smaller space, there is only one area to gather downstairs, which is also where you check in. Not a big deal for us, but for those who wants like a whole area to walk around in the hotel, then may want to look at those bigger hotels.

Il mio soggiorno in questo ryokan a Shibu Onsen è stato un'esperienza inoltrabile! Da quando siamo arrivati, l'ospitalità è stata impeccabile. Il ryokan ha onsen privati che possono essere prenotati in anticipo, offrendo un'esperienza intima e serena. Il bagno nelle acque calde, minerali ricchi, mentre guardava la bellezza naturale circostante, è stato un punto di vista del viaggio. Il servizio di navetta gratuito di ryokan ha reso l’esplorazione della zona incredibilmente conveniente. Siamo stati trasportati facilmente al iconico Snow Monkey Park, la stazione ferroviaria vicina, e altre attrazioni locali, che hanno aggiunto all’esperienza senza saldatura. L'esperienza di mangiare non era altro che spettacolare. È stato servito in un ambiente tranquillo, con piatti bellissimi preparati che mostravano il meglio degli ingredienti stagionali e locali. I gusti erano autentici e deliziosi,

In una giornata così calda, non c'è l'aria condizionata al quarto piano. Ho vagamente la sensazione che ci sia una discriminazione nella stanza prenotata tramite Ctrip. Il giorno successivo, dopo una trattativa, siamo stati spostati al 6° piano.

We were pampered by this hotel the moment we checked in! Glad to have stayed in Sakaeya and the inhouse Onsen is superb!

挑選了很久，找到油屋燈幹，外觀有一説一，着實不起眼。但內裏別有洞天。 這是一家風格時尚的日式旅館，温泉浴池在晚上 7.30後，男女對掉。白天和晚上可以欣賞不同的户外温泉的風景（個人覺得白天女生心更好看），另外酒店還提供付費私人露天温泉，提前預約。 温泉後20-23點，頂樓有個roof bar，是那種透明小屋，下雪》的天麼裏卻非常暖和。 我們的房間能欣賞到山巒和🌇對面房間可以看到河川的美景。 早餐可選比一般性酒店多且美味C，沒有預訂晚餐的我們選擇去了隔壁的一家“松美食堂”就餐，味道家常的小店。 •總體來説，這是一家性價比高且能讓人放鬆身心的温泉酒店。很意外的好。

Были в феврале, на улице был минус, но в номере стоял обогреватель и был кондиционер. Не замерзли. В отели три онсена, один общий для мужчин один для женщин и один приватный. Так же дают ключь от 9 общесвенных онсенов на территори деревни. Хозяйка может забрать или отвезти до ближайшей станции, так же отвозила нас на ужин и в манкей парк. Завтрак традиционный. И в целом отель традиционный японский, советую кому интересно именно пожить в традиционном отеле. Но учтите спать нужно на татаме и ходить в тапочках, в оьуви не пускают, ну и мыться в онсене.

Ci piace il servizio e la pulizia della stanza. Tuttavia, l'hotel deve aggiornare la sua camera da bagno e immersione. Non si può ottenere una buona temperatura calda in inverno quando ci sono 2 tappeti, uno per il freddo e uno per il caldo. Vedi le foto allegate. Il tubo di gomma in una delle nostre camere da bagno è rotto. Fortunatamente, potrebbero venire subito a sostituirlo per noi. In generale, il soggiorno è ok, ma speriamo che l'hotel possa aggiornare il bagno e il bagno.

It's a 10 mins walk uphill from train station so maybe better to try to contact them for a complimentary pick up. The place is super grand and 2 onsens. A Instagram worthy one that the males and females get to use it at different timings. The shower stuff in the onsen are mediocre though. No fancy facial stuff for women unlike some other onsens at this price range. We had breakfast and dinner for the 2 nights. And well worth it. But you have to follow a fixed timing and we felt a bit rushed but otherwise it was really great and service perfect. We had one the biggest rooms I believe Room 716. Had a sitting area and also a sleeping area. Easily fits 8 persons. We were only 2. In the day they kept the futons and brought it out at night. Towels changed every night. There is a van that goes straight to Mount Yokoteyama ski resort. The receptionist didn't seem to know about it but you could try to Google. It was a complimentary ride to and fro if you bought the lift tickets. Took only like 30 mins to get there. You can get rentals at hotels there.
