The location being close to the train station was convenient, although the GPS confusion due to the hotel's orientation might have caused a bit of inconvenience. It's great to hear that the reception staff was helpful and the check-in process was smooth. Having water available at the reception for guests returning from day trips is a thoughtful touch.
The breakfast offering might have been limited, but it's nice that it was still a good meal. The convenience of having all rooms on the same level is a practical feature, making it easy to move around. It’s also wonderful that the staff were friendly and accommodating to your needs. Overall, it sounds like a comfortable stay with good service!

I had a great stay at the htoel. The place was spotless, and the reception team, especially Xiao Chen and Xiao Ting, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. When I asked for directions, they not only provided clear guidance but also shared contacts and recommended lots of great places to visit. Highly recommend!

Posizione estremamente comoda, pulita e tranquilla. La reception mi ha fatto un upgrade della camera quando ho chiesto se potevo avere una camera più silenziosa per aiutarmi a dormire.
Ho avuto un'esperienza spiacevole a Xiamen dal momento in cui sono sceso dall'aereo a causa del personale dell'aeroporto poco disponibile che semplicemente non voleva aiutarmi a capire come entrare in città. Inizialmente avevo prenotato solo un soggiorno di 2 notti in città, ed ero convinto di non voler rimanere di più finché non fossi arrivato all'hotel.
La disponibilità della reception dell'hotel e l'hotel stesso hanno finito per farmi prolungare il mio soggiorno di altre 3 notti in città.
Soggiorna in questo hotel se vieni a Xiamen.

Il soggiorno al Meihao Lizhi Hotel è stato molto soddisfacente! Il servizio è così premuroso. Non solo ci hanno aiutato a trovare un taxi, ma hanno anche preso l'iniziativa di prenotare per noi a Gulangyu Island e alla Xiamen University. The room is quite small, however that's ohkay given the price. Good location. However the cleanliness is terrible. I don't mind it not being super clean but there's dead mosquito on the floor, I found two. There maybe more but i don't even want to know anymore.

The best thing is for sure the location very central and surrounded by restaurants, cafes, shopping etc.
The room design very nice and modern, it was comfortable but it wasn’t very clean to be honest. Staff speaks zero English but I understand almost all the guest are Chinese so they don’t think they need to invest. Even if no English is spoken, staff is nice and communicates via app - they share their WeChat and communication is easy.
The very disappointing thing was the breakfast. It was advertised as Chinese and Western but it was 100% Chinese only. I read in some review responses they said that dishes change every day therefore on some days there may only be Chinese food. However, it was really beyond that - there is not even coffee or tea for breakfast! Only soy milk. I live in China and I am used to Chinese breakfast but my friend was very disappointed.

If you are looking for travel like a local, I would recommend this place instead of going to a high rise building hotel. Location itself is pretty convenient for food and nice dessert shop nearby. UUtente ospiteIl miglior hotel che abbia mai vissuto, un hotel di 100+ anni di villa cambiato, la posizione dell'hotel è a sette minuti a piedi dal porto di Trinity Tian, vicino al otto piani, e la posizione è molto buona.La chiave è che il servizio sia davvero buono. La nostra famiglia ha cinque persone che hanno mangiato male e quattro sono cadute a causa di cose cattive. I bambini hanno anche fatto il letto e il cuscino. Il cameriere aiuta a lavorare e cambiare in tempo. Non c'è un'espressione inquietante, aiuta a seccare le gabbie dei bambini, fornisce farmaci. Il servizio non deve essere detto.
Poiché l'hotel è bello da solo, l'hotel offre anche un'ampia gamma di gioia e aiuta gli anziani a fare foto.Il colazione è anche molto delicato. L'hotel incompleto di Trumworn è stato fortunato a prenotare l'hotel e sentire il pieno di entusiasmo dei giovani camerieri.

It was not only tidy but also well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made my stay incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail in housekeeping truly stood out, and it was evident that the staff takes great pride in providing a pristine environment for their guests.
One of the standout features of my stay was the complimentary laundry service. This thoughtful amenity made my trip even more convenient, allowing me to refresh my wardrobe without any hassle. It’s a fantastic perk, especially for travelers who are on the go or attending conferences.
Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast offered at the hotel. The variety and quality of the food were impressive, providing a delightful start to each day.
I also appreciated the gym facilities, which were practical and useful for maintaining my fitness routine while traveling. It had everything I needed for a good workout, making it easy to stay active during my stay.
Another unique aspect of the Mercure Hotel is the innovative use of robots to deliver food orders from ** (Meituan) directly to your room. This modern touch added a fun and convenient element to my experience, making it easy to enjoy delicious meals without leaving my room.
Lastly, the hotel features a designated space for pick-ups and drop-offs, which was incredibly convenient for my travel arrangements. It made coming and going a breeze, allowing me to focus on my activities without any stress. there are mall nearby within 2KM and it’s so cheap and convenient to just didi anywhere from here. FYI during winter most hotels in china does not have air conditioning, here offer both air conditioning and heater, which is a must for me.
Overall, I highly recommend the Mercure Hotel for anyone visiting Xiamen. The combination of a clean, comfortable room, delicious breakfast, practical gym, innovative delivery service, and excellent amenities like free laundry makes it a top choice for both business and leisure travelers. RRam KondaAt first, we were disappointed because they put us into a small room that we felt was not worth the price we paid for. However, the next day they upgraded our room into a nice one with a separate toilet and shower area. There were wide windows and the view was the quiet road below and two small mountains in the distance. Not bad eh! This was the time we started feeling comfortable and relaxed in our 4 nights of stay here. The bed and pillows were firm and very good to sleep in. Good for relaxing after a long day of touring or working. There was a small dining table as well as some space or area to work and put your other stuff. The toilet is fully automated so it was really comfortable to use. The staff in general were accommodating and the female receptionist manning the lobby was always enthusiastic and helpful. On the other hand, location is far from downtown so it might cost you a bit more if you take the didi often. Also, breakfast fare was sparse when we were there, probably because it was still the tourist season. Not sure though but for whatever reason, when we got to the breakfast nook at around 8am, most of the food was gone. We had to wait for about 30 min for some trays to be refilled with food while the rest simply remained empty. If you don’t like local breakfast, then this hotel’s breakfast is not for you. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for us.

UUtente ospiteLa posizione dell'hotel è ottima, proprio sulla strada pedonale Zhongshan Road, con comodi trasporti. Ma non so se è perché siamo al sud. Ci sono molti insetti nella stanza... All'inizio ho visto una piccola macchia nera sul lenzuolo, ho pensato che fosse qualcosa di sporco e ho dato una pacca it, ma ho scoperto che un piccolo insetto è stato ucciso... Ho visto un oggetto in movimento direttamente sul cuscino... È quasi estate, spero che riusciremo a risolvere il problema delle zanzare è abbastanza fastidioso.

UUtente ospiteFirst of all this is NOT a HOLIDAY INN, indeed the hotel's name is SEP HOLIDAY. However on DIDI and Trip.Com it is listed as HOLIDAY INN. The real HOLIDAY INN is located about 200metres away. So please do not book this hotel if you are looking for a real holiday inn (IHG hotel). Having said that, this hotel does not need to call itself a HOLIDAY INN for you to consider it. We stayed here for seven(7) nights and will stay here again as it is very convenient, clean, provides a decent buffet local breakfast and is in a good location near bus station (50metres away), Metro Line 2 (Cruise Centre station) is across the road 300M away (there is a proper overhead walkway to cross the road, no escalators though) and you can walk to the gulanyu ferry terminal and sea world. It is also on the same side of the road as the start of the Mountain to the Sea Walking trail which is about 500metres away. Short, since the trail itself is 23km. The rooms are decent size (We got a corner unit room 8403 on the 4th floor), attached bathroom with all the amenities for 2 persons with hot shower and cold air conditioning with free cable tv and wifi and lots of power points. It doesnt have a fridge but none was needed. No swimming pool and really a too tiny gym with just a bit of free weights here and there. So don't bother packing your gym or swimming stuff. But if you are looking for a value for money decent and clean place to sleep and to have a cooked breakfast before going out out and about xiamen city for sightseeing, then this hotel is highly recommended. Just forget about the HOLIDAY INN part!

UUtente ospiteA wonderful stay for 2 nights. The location, staff and facilities are amazing. The service and friendliness of everyone made our experience extra special. A special mention to the gym and swimming pool staff who were ever so friendly every time we visited. Also Wendy on reception was wonderful and really helpful and accommodating. A would highly recommend this hotel, great location, staff and multiple restaurants on site.

UUtente ospiteReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier?
Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish.
I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view.
Room was clean and nice. Slippers given.
Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them.
The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider.
The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night.
Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants.
The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently.
Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
