Central Coast Motel

We were travelling with our medium sized dog so booked a room. Filthiest, most disgusting room we've ever experienced. Shower was very mouldy, someone's nail clippings in the corner and drain stank. I spoke to the man on reception and he looked at me in disbelief but came to look. He still couldn't understand the issue but volunteered to run a mop around the shower recess with some lemon-scented cleaner. Still couldn't bring ourselves to use the shower. The decommissioned air-conditioner unit had toilet paper jammed around the edges and none of the eating/drinking things provided were cleaned and sealed. Couldn't wash them first as there was no detergent provided. Door frame and the single bedside table were badly chewed by previous dogs that had occupied the room and everything was grubby to touch. Our dog could detect where other dogs had pee'd on the sides of the bed and floor and room smelled off. We paid extra for a dog-friendly room but I would definitely NOT recommend. Stayed because we were too tired to drive further after travelling from QLD.

Our overnight booking for Saturday 30 September was made and confirmed by email on the 17th July. There was no further communication until I received a text msg on 27th September advising which Unit we were in. On arrival we were told the motel was fully booked (a long weekend) and they could not help. One of our worst and most stressful accommodation nightmares!! And we've been charged $150 for accommodation we did not receive. Our requests for a refund have had no response.

Motel was overpriced to fall line with what we suspected was Australia day prices!!! $160 for a one night stay with the room being tired and in desperate need of being freshened up. The bed was comfy, the kitchenette, with microwave, was close to the bathroom and toilet. If sharing you could have a conversation with person in the kitchen while being on the loo!!! Yep we are talking outdated and "cosy"! Upside Wyong Westfield was too far away and did offer numerous restaurants of varying ethnicity for a meal.

A one night stay in Wyong, travelling home south from Brisbane. We booked a pet friendly room, however upon arrival were told the pet friendly room had a leak so we were given a 'normal' room. The owner was helpful and friendly. This is an old style motel, situated very close to Wyong shops and Tuggerah Westfield. The actual location of the motel though is a bit dismal. The room was adequate, clean enough with clean bedding, but the bed was uncomfortable and made up with what felt like polyester sheets. The room has a small bar fridge and a microwave, with enough crockery and cutlery and tea/coffee making supplies. Thankfully the bathroom was clean. We've been staying in a lot of these old style motels lately and have noticed many are still un-renovated and in dire need of some TLC. Thankfully there are a few around that have pet friendly rooms, but not many, and the available pet friendly rooms are usually a good distance away from the 'normal' rooms. Our little dog is well behaved, unlike the family who arrived to the room next door around 11.00pm and kept us awake with their yelling, and noisily running and jumping about their room. The walls are thin. The outside lights were very bright and stayed on all night. Every time I woke up I thought it was morning already, however it was the outside lights still shining bright through the gaps in the curtains. We were very bleary eyed in the morning, but not a peep was heard from the noisy disruptive family next door, they were no doubt all asleep! Grrrr!

Dog friendly, clean comfortable rooms. I did not venture out. I don’t think it’s in the nicest area but it did the job. The host was pleasant and helpful. Has a tiny pool for a swim if it’s hot, the price was ok for what you get. The other guests seemed nice.
