Girraween Environmental Lodge

Totally private cosy chalets surrounded by bush teaming with birds, kangaroos and other wildlife, the Lodge offers stunning walks on the property, or 5 minutes drive to the uniquely beautiful national park walks. Each chalet has a fire, well equipped kitchen (gas stove top, microwave, no oven but Weber on the deck), espresso maker ( bring ground coffee). Comfortable king beds ( or king single), electric blankets, large spa bath. No TV, wifi or mobile reception in chalets but good reception at the office and large DVD / board games / book library. Hot outdoor spa (& pool) available to star gaze. It’s a unique piece of paradise and perfect for friends and family. Overseas visitors will be amazed by Giraween.

Chalets are beautiful, loved the common space made home made pizzas on the first night and used the pizza ovens on site was great! Close to national park and walking tracks. Will definitely be back!

These chalets are amazing!! They are so cozy and beautiful. The lovely people at the reception were very welcoming and accomodating. The trip was for my birthday and they hung a happy bday sign and put balloons up in the chalet which was a super nice surprise. There are cute and very polite kangaroos all over the property to greet you. It’s a very nice area for enjoying the bush my partner and I loved it very much and will be coming back!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Girraween Environmental Lodge. The ehalets are nestled in the forest privately and surrounded by native animals. High ceilings, big windows, awesome fireplace, a great veranda and quality natural finishes. Modern bathroom with spa bath and the kitchen is fully equiped with everything for a good cookup. The hot spa under the stars was a real highlight as were the natural granite landscape features on the extensive bush walks. 10/10 recommend.

What a truly special place to stay. Our cabin was comfortable, large, well equipped and, like the other cabins, well spaced away from each other. This lead to a feeling of tranquility which was perfect. Bengu was very kind and helpful during our stay. She recommended some perfect walks within the property. We didn’t even head into the National Park as there are plenty of good walks on the private grounds- which means you could guarantee that you can enjoy the peace and view the wildlife. Take your supplies with you and enjoy!

The cabins are beautifully located in the bush, well isolated from other cabins. A kitchens are modern, bathrooms spacious and the log fire in winter is a real treat. There’s no internet access in cabins which annoyed the kids on day one but we stayed a week and everyone LOVED the digital detox. The camp office literally has 1,000 DVDs that you can borrow if you need a fix. The lodge has many nature walks that are all well sign-posted and the National Park is 3km down the road. You can also book a time slot in the heated hot tub and watch the stare at night - it’s magic. Lots of kangaroos and birds visited our cabin every morning.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we've already booked again for next year. The owners are so lovely and welcoming, the cabins are beautiful especially with the fire place and it's located in the most peaceful place. Can't wait to return next year.

A sensational hideaway where you can totally disconnect from the hustle and bustle of your life and relax. Secluded, comfortable cabins with a Nordic feel, hot tub under the stars which you book into for privacy from other visitors, interesting bushwalks on the property and a generous supply of cooking essentials, games and DVDs. But the icing on the cake was our amazing hostess who humbly didn’t want to be mentioned. A gem of a person who set the scene for an enjoyable stay from the moment we met her.

My fiancé and I had a beautiful weekend getaway in a chalet. The chalet was super cozy and quite luxurious, with plenty of firewood for the length of our stay. The grounds were stunning with an abundance of wildlife hanging about to say hello. There were lots of walks available around the grounds themselves, but it was also just a very short drive to the main entrance of Girraween National Park. It was perfectly situated between two gorgeous wineries which we of course took advantage of as well! We would love to come back and stay for longer!
