Il viaggio è per rilassarsi, un ambiente di vita tranquillo, e andare a Wu Jiang Mountain North Gate è molto vicino. SSharonWe were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended.
The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour.
The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

Yyiyi_tThis room is with smoke smell that unable to subside even until night time. We depend on the diffuser in room to bear with it overnight as we are reluctant to pack & change room. Overall, those who cannot bear smoke smell at all, can avoid booking this place. As this premise allow smoking indoor.
One thing we are unhappy is the lady in restaurant is annoying, we are having our meal but she came to chase for payment multiple times! This action spoiled our appetite. We will pay, please don't keep coming to ask for payment. Or else pls put up a sign to request guest pay before eat!
During breakfast, the table are not tidy up from previous guest. We requested cleaner to clear, the response is to ask us use whichever table is available now! 🙄. Getting table we preferred is our right!

The bathroom is large, spotless, and well-equipped with amenities. I especially loved the beautiful natural light in the room.
On the ground floor, there’s a vibrant tea shop where young locals drop by, creating a lively atmosphere. You'll find historical exhibitions and curated objects that offer insight into both Wuyishan and the rich heritage of Chinese tea. And don’t miss meeting Xiaobai, the friendly resident dog who’s always happy to greet guests.
The 6th floor features a cozy tatami-style common room, complete with a go board and a tea table overlooking stunning panoramic mountain views — an ideal place to unwind.
What truly sets this place apart is the host and the staff. They’re warm, welcoming, and always ready to share tea with you — each time you return from a walk or come downstairs. I stayed two nights and tried at least 6–7 different kinds of Wuyishan tea. Even as a solo traveler and a foreigner, I felt included in conversations and easily connected with other guests.
Pro tip: If you know a bit of Chinese, it’ll help you dive deeper into the stories behind the place. But even if you don’t, the language of tea will still make you feel at home.

We felt really at home in this characteristic family-run hotel just at the fringe of WuyiShan National Park 🌸 the hotel is conveniently located just inside the National Park and it is a perfect starting point for your hiking exploring the wonderland of WuyiShan. The building maintains its authentic vintage charm while offering all the conveniences of modernisation: the rooms are spacious and well-equipped and you can enjoy a lot of communal spaces for various activity too. The courtyard and the little garden are especially charming and in the tea room you can sip a cup of hot Dahongpao for free after a muscle-challenging walk around WuyiShan. The hotel is also very close to a lot of restaurant and amenities, while shielding you from the hustle and bustle of tourists. We especially appreciated the privacy and silence surrounding the hotel: it wonderful to hear the sound of the rain in the night gently lulling you to sleep. The hotel is also very clean and well-looked after. The service staff is particularly helpful and supportive: super gentle, welcoming and polite! LLayHuahThis is a small and cozy hotel. The room is very clean and all necessary amenities are provided, except body lotion which is necessary for the cold dry weather. The toilet and curtains have smart functions. Bed and beddings are comfortable and fresh. Although the lobby smells of cigarette smoke, our rooms were smoke free, which I appreciated very much. Staff are all attentive, obliging and very friendly. The staff ran out to help carry our luggages when they saw us enter the hotel. The buffet Breakfast was just adequate offerings due to the low season and low guests turnout. Location is excellent. The night food street is on the road behind the hotel. It is very easy to find food around the hotel. The hotel faces the dawangfeng lu, and it is convenient to take the free bus to the wuyishan scenic area south gate. We were here in January. The weather was glorious, blue skies, no strong winds, day high temperature around 17 °C

AAnaP92The general manager gave us a very warm welcome in excellent English and upgraded our room size to have a more comfortable stay.
The restaurant manager, Wang Fang, was also exceptionally welcoming. She helped us with getting everything that we needed and took great care of us during our meals.
The cook prepared excellent fresh noodles and suggested what ingredients we should try.
The people that are working in this hotel were the highlight of our stay. Thank you for the great experience.
