Metropolo Hotel Wuyishan Sangu Holiday Resort

This is a small and cozy hotel. The room is very clean and all necessary amenities are provided, except body lotion which is necessary for the cold dry weather. The toilet and curtains have smart functions. Bed and beddings are comfortable and fresh. Although the lobby smells of cigarette smoke, our rooms were smoke free, which I appreciated very much. Staff are all attentive, obliging and very friendly. The staff ran out to help carry our luggages when they saw us enter the hotel. The buffet Breakfast was just adequate offerings due to the low season and low guests turnout. Location is excellent. The night food street is on the road behind the hotel. It is very easy to find food around the hotel. The hotel faces the dawangfeng lu, and it is convenient to take the free bus to the wuyishan scenic area south gate. We were here in January. The weather was glorious, blue skies, no strong winds, day high temperature around 17 °C

Excellent location. Near shops and lots of eateries within walking distance. Near bus stop to Wuyishan entrance and conveniently travel to the scenic area. Hotel service with lots of personal touch. Have a good session with the hotel manager on tea sampling.

This hotel is easily one of the best I have ever stayed at. The service is very warm. When I arrived there late at night, the woman at the check-in desk walked me through the various attractions in the Wuyishan Scenic Area, and provided a helpful map. Similarly, when I left, the hotel staff helped me arrange my taxi to the train station. The room was spacious, modern, and clean. They provide water bottles and Wuyishan tea. The shower was very comfortable, too. The room was a great place to relax after a long day of mountain climbing. There are many good amenities too. They sell Wuyishan tea sets at the front desk for a reasonable price. They have a self-service laundry room. They also have a yummy hot breakfast buffet for $25, which I think is reasonable as well. The woman running the breakfast buffet was very warm too. Finally, the location is good for exploring Wuyishan. There is a bus stop 3 minutes away where you can catch a free city bus to the South Entrance. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk from the Wuyi Palace, and there is a city bus you can catch to there too. The Sangu District, where the hotel is located, is clean and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. I enjoyed walking the main road at night. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this hotel for a trip to Wuyishan.

From the hotel I could walk to Wuyi Palace (near the north entrance) in about 20 minutes. It is on the main road but not loud, and everything was modern and clean. The staff were helpful and considerate: when I purchased breakfast at check in, the receptionist told me that the hotel had a lot of guests, so suggested I arrive at breakfast later so I would have a seat. I found this to be a charming small hotel.
