Great place to stop on the drive on the Hume Highway. Easy access from highway. Beds really comfortable. Food available at hotel right next door reasonably priced and very tasty. Try the dumplings. Staff very welcoming. Nice quiet location.

What a gem! Family means we sometimes drive from the Sunshine Coast down to Melbourne and have just discovered this quiet little place for our second overnight road trip stay . We stayed overnight. Room was large, bed comfortable and amenities great. And how good after a long days drive to be able to walk 30 metres from our room to this to this beautiful country pub for a few cold ones and amazing tucker. It’s definitely on our “ stop” list for future trips down.

Clean, comfortable bed. Helpful and friendly staff. Stayed there for three nights, as was an official at an event down the road. Great for overnight stay, also, just off the Hume Highway so you don’t get the noise. Pub next door with great meals also Would recommend.

This is the epitome of motels - easy parking, quiet, no stairs (a few steps,) 50 metres to the bar and a decent counter meal, clean and unfussy and great value for money. Located half way between Melbourne and Canberra/Sydney - it’s an ideal stopping point. The recent refurbishment was certainly due but the outcome is excellent. It offers a comfortable bed, hot showers with great water pressure, quiet and inexpensive. The pub meals are excellent.

We had a very pleasant overnight stay. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious in a quiet environment. We will stay again when we are next travelling through this area. We highly recommend this hotel/motel. We took the opportunity to walk around the area. Our impression is that this is a safe place to stay overnight.

Friendly Hotel and Pub, run by Genuine country Aussies, just off the highway and a perfect place to spend the night coming north out of Victoria, or going the other way. Room was quiet, warm, and very clean. The bed was super comfortable. this was the best stopover on our travels and also the most economical. The pub food was really good, and again great value. This is just the kind of stopover you want when tired after a long day on the road. TV reception for free to air is SBS only, so bear that in mind if there is anything you really have to watch, but the smart TV would presumably allow you to log in to netflix or ABC iview if you travel with your account login. We are often looking to stop around Holbrook, or somewhere between Albury and Golburne, so this will be our new favourite, if only for the cleanliness and very comfortable bed.

Great, reasonably priced Motel to stay at on the Sydney to Melbourne drive. Not far off the highway and no traffic noise. My room was very clean, lovely comfy bed and really nice sheets. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. My meal at the pub was very nice, well presented and value for money. A lovely fireplace warmed the dining room.

The Woomagarma Hotel is a very comfortable, well managed stay over on the Hume. Rooms appear to have been refreshed recently and have a comfortable, clean and cosy feeling. The hotel food is very good and the staff friendly and accomodating. Village is very small, so there's no breakfast option - but Holbrook is just a few minutes away.

Congratulations to the owners of Woomargama Hotel - they've done a fabulous job or renovating it! We drove out from Albury for lunch on a hot Wednesday. Several groups were dining inside, but we elected to sit outside on the verandah under a ceiling fan - very pleasant. Friendly staff, a good varied menu, and our meals and wines were delicious. We'll be back. Might even stay sometime - the motel (with pool) looks pretty nice too!
