Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Potomac Mills Woodbridge, VA

There was a line 4 people deep requesting different rooms when I arrived. When I got into my room I was hit with a giant wall of stale cigarette smoke. I briefly considered asking for a different room before realizing that likely all the rooms were... somewhat flawed. A fine stop for a 7 hr cat nap on my way from NH to FL but the smell was a bit overwhelming and woke me up earlier than planned. 5 hrs of sleep later I'm back on the road if only to avoid that smell LOL. Drive an extra 1 hr south to Richmond and maybe try a hotel there, all the DC area hotels I've stayed in were always... not great.

Wonderful! Will stay again!! I really enjoyed the breakfast, the room was comfortable, and the whole entire stay overall was just very good!

The room was not worth the cost, to be honest. Old worn-out furniture in the room... the room was very old, dusty, rusty... Bathroom had rusty hinges, mold in tub... door definitely needed repainting... We were very disappointed.

We arrived at the hotel yesterday. We received our keys and proceeded to our room 403. Upon opening the door, we found the floor of the room uncleaned and an empty packet of Newport cigarettes on the floor. My wife and kids never wanted to stay in the room but I said to them to wait in the room and I will proceed to reception and see what they will say. I found a lady and I told her what happened. She said the house keeping have all gone home. No one was available to clean the room. I told her that this was totally unacceptable and something has to be done. Someone else came out and said to me don’t worry we will give you a good discount. I said to him that I need my comfort and not discount and walked away. We managed in the room and whiles leaving the hotel this morning, we again complained to the reception and they promised that the room will be cleaned. We arrived back to the hotel by 1530pm but nothing was cleaned. The dirt was still on the floor and packet of cigarette still remained in the same place. They had also not cleaned the room nor made the beds. I went back to the reception and complained again and she said ok let me give you guys a suite. Again I told her that I don’t need a suite. This hotel plus the management are really terrible. Regarding the breakfast which is included in the price, they said they will close the buffet at 9.30am. I arrived at the restaurant at 9.15am and some lady said sorry we are closed. You can only have coffee.

This place was below average. I was surprised it got a 3 star because the rooms needed a renovation, the area so-so, and the hairdryer smoked up upon use. The room has a smell probably because outdated and older. The breakfast selection was average - some hot items. Unfortunately I won’t be back - there are other 2.5 star hotels that are much better.

We did a wedding takeover of th8s hotel since we were getting married at Gunston Hall. It was convenient to our venue. The rooms were nice and we had a lovely wedding! We were even able to rent a conference room to host a rehearsal dinner of sorts. I'd do it all over again.
