Our Sunday lunch of roast lamb was extremely disappointing to say the least. The thinly sliced lamb was chewy and fatty. Not ones to complain normally but, when asked if our meal was satisfactory, we had to be honest. For a much looked forward to anniversary lunch, and a gift from our daughter, the end result wasn’t pleasant. The chef’s response to our feedback was words to the effect that “it wasn’t the right time of year for lamb”! So why did the chef include it in the Sunday Lunch menu if that was so, and the dearest Sunday Lunch at that? We had some lovely meals in The Wolfe in the past but will not be back for Sunday Lunch again. Oh, and requested some water when ordering which never arrived …., all in all very poor value at £52 for the poor quality and a drink each.

Such a lovely stay for our 19th wedding anniversary Staff were very friendly. Rooms were spotless clean 10/10 we stayed in olive room beautiful and a lovely suprise off the girls when we entered our room (see pic attached) our food was delicious. Definitely try this place 5* . Definitely stay here again very happy. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The cleanest and aesthetically pleasing room. Fantastic breakfast menu. Extremely friendly service. I’ve experienced many coaching house hotels and this stands out in years of travel - well deserved reputation. Would highly recommend if you or your family are ever in the area.

We booked a overnight stay for a works Christmas party for my wife unfortunately we booked the wrong hotel in the village . Has it happened this ended up being the best part of the day . Fantastic place spotlessly clean . Fantastic breakfast everything tasted perfect ! So much so we asked where we could find some of the products to take home ! Both myself and my wife agreed it was the best mistake we have ever made

Nice pub with friendly staff and great food. If we had known that they had rooms we would have stayed. Recommended for a meal. Very nice decor and a good relaxed atmosphere, reasonably priced, attentive service, not long to wait after ordering.

Stopped for a meal on the way to the ferry last Wednesday 31st July and it was fabulous. Food was delicious, service was excellent and the place was spotless. Well done to all involved could not fault a thing. If I lived in the area I would be a regular visitor.

I have family who live just down the road from this Inn. I have eaten there on many occasions, before we left to start a new life in Cyprus. It changed hands and one of the improvements was to provide accommodation. We have tried for 6 years but bereavements and Covid prevented it. But we managed finally to stay for 2 nights. Loved it! We had two family gatherings, an evening meal on the Saturday and Sunday Lunch. Both meals were excellent. On the Sunday we even had sunshine!. Absolutely enjoyed our stay and the experience of the Inn in Wolfs Castle.

We had our wedding reception in the bcak room on the 20th may with 26 of our friends and family present...there are no words to say how amazing the staff were.. service was exceptional.. the food was amazing as usual and the night was just perfect. This is our go to place for food.. we love it here.. thank you to all the staff 🙏

I was very disappointed when I visited for Sunday lunch. It's one of the most expensive places which wasn't a surprise with the reputation it has. There were only two of us eating and we had to wait over an hour for our meal and when it did arrive it was cold and not a single bit of green vegetable included. I would have sent it back but after waiting so unexpectedly long I didn't have the time.
