Woking West (A324)

The worst reception we have ever had. She was rude, unfriendly and never gave any information. We were not asked if we had stayed before, given no information about the restaurant even though it is under renovation and seemed unhappy in her job. The Premier is like most Premiers these days in that its best days are behind it. As soon as I walked in the room my allergies started and there is an obvious need for a deep clean. The TV has wires exposed (and was left on when we arrived) and the internet is so painfully slow that it is not worth having.

The bathroom reeked of cigarettes, which was unpleasant. On top of that, every single movement from upstairs could be heard clearly. Trying to have an early night was impossible, as children were jumping up and down non-stop for hours. It felt like mini elephants were about to crash through the ceiling at any moment. The only nice part of this hotel was that the ladies that work there are super lovely.

Travelling up from Cornwall for family party, stayed 3 x nights. Very nice and large room. Very cold at first, as a very cold weekend, and window was open, took me a good 4 x hours to get room warmed up to about 18/19 degrees.. but having a lovely bath in my room. soon sorted that! I did not book breakfast for the Saturday morning, or evening as I had no need. I did however, book breakfast for three of us, on Sunday morning. Good buffet available, but cooked breakfasts took a good 40/45 minutes.nice staff in restaurant, and lady I formed me they reopened at 6pm, and I said I would be back, with a friend that evening, which she said would be fine.. MY (disabled) cousin, returned to have dinner with me, unfortunately at 5pm, expecting bar to be open (she is local), so we had discussion, about what to do for that, before the restaurant opened. We were then told, extremely curtly, by the lady on reception, and I quote " well you can over (me) as you're staying here but you ( my disabled cousin) cannot, as she's not. I then formed her that I was a widow, and as such, was still not used to eating alone, and that my cousin was my guest. Had I met her, say outside in the car park and gone in, no one would have been any the wiser! No one had questioned us in the morning, when it had been far, far busier and there had been 3 of us!! Considering the dilemma that the two of us found ourselves in, therefore, maybe a bit of advice or recommendation as to local eateries would have been welcome (she did not know my cousin was local). She did not utter another word, and completely ignored us, knowing I was fuming at this information, so we found somwhere else ourselves, calling our own taxi, as no help was forthcoming from her!! My family, who have always used this Premier Inn, for family gatherings etc over the years, have been appalled at this service, especially as my cousin is a disabled lady. Premier Inn have tried to (a) blame the restaurant staff ( they knew nothing about all this, they weren't even open!) and then me for not booking! On a cold and frosty evening in early January, I can assure you there was absolutely no need!! Sadly we will all be using the Travelodge in Woking in future. Premier Inns, you can do better!!

We stayed one night to visit the New Victoria Theatre. We had travelled 3hours to get there. We tried the restaurant and bar at 5pm to find it closed and not opened until 6pm. Too late for us to eat before our theatre visit. We tried to get a coffee at 6.30pm to be told they could only serve us black coffee as they had no milk! The room was clean enough and as usual for Premier Inn the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet location and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was a debacle. There was still no milk. Also, the apologetic staff (one serving and one cooking) told us they were out of sausages, mushrooms and black pudding. The bacon was over cooked the eggs were of poor quality, the baked beans were hot. There were copious amounts of old cobwebs above the toasters which took and age to warm up the bread. Altogether, a very unsatisfactory breakfast experience. We went back to reception to check out and asked to speak to the manager to be told there wasn't anyone on duty to complain to. We were given a card with an email address which seemed like something that happened a lot. We have stayed at many Premier inn hotels over the years and this was by far, the worst.

Our room was not ready . I was traveling from Devon with my mother in law 82 my daughter 10 and my wife. The check in time 3pm the room was not ready when we arrived at 4pm and then we were told they would not know when the room is going to be ready so we went out to get tea upon our return back to the premier in the room was still not ready now 5pm. So we had to go and get something to eat when we got back at 7.45pm then the room was ready for us. The women at the reception were very angry and rude. Never in my life will I stay here. The next day my wife had to drop me of to Gatwick at 6am . When she went back she was told that there would be no compensation or free breakfast. We were told the breakfast is open by 10.30am the breakfast was all gone....terrible experience

Excellent stay from start to finish all the staff were so kind and friendly and especially Jo nothing was too much h trouble for her, such a lovely kind lady one of the best receptionists we have ever encountered on our travelling adventures!
