Hotel in zona Barn Hammer Brewing Company, Winnipeg

As the title would suggest, you need be aware that your car may be broken into when staying at this hotel. I always check out the hotels I stay at on TripAdvisor before booking and I did see that this was a problem, but thought never in a million years would we be the target of such a thing. Not the case. Before leaving to start our day I noticed a note slipped under our door that there was an issue with our car and to visit the front desk. It didn't even occur to me that it would be this, I thought it was because we were parked in the red area, outside the hotels green area. The manager was called when I got to the front desk and he informed me that our car was broken into. I will say, they handled the situation very well. The front desk clerk, the manager that I spoke to, the security guard that helped to tape up the window and the clean up crew that were there with garbage cans and an industrial sized shopvac all handled the situation very well. As it turns out...from what we could see there were about 6 or so other cars that were broken into. After the shock sunk in and anger and frustration surfaced, I went back to the manager to see if there was some sort of compensation that could be offered. There was, which I appreciate. If this happens to you, don't be afraid to ask. Needless to say, no matter how nice the room was or how great the lounge and lounge staff were, I'll never stay here again. I will look for a hotel with a private parking garage or at least a more secure parking situation or find an airbnb.

Abbiamo trascorso due notti qui a mezza settimana. Questo bellissimo hotel centro città è stato costruito nel 1913, e ha un bellissimo lobby iniziale 20c. Se si soggiorna in un hotel storico, si deve capire che alcune cose non saranno così buone come stare in un hotel moderno. Ad esempio, le camere da letto e i bagni saranno spesso più piccole, non ci sarà una piscina, ecc. Ma per noi, essere parte della storia è piacevole, e abbiamo soggiornato in molti hotel con un contesto storico. Abbiamo trovato il Fort Garry come un bel posto, la vibe storica è certamente lì.La posizione dell'hotel è grande, si può camminare al fiume Forks Historic District, con il suo famoso mercato, musei, ecc. L'hotel è solo un isolato dalla stazione ferroviaria storica. Sì, la nostra stanza era un po' piccola, ma il letto era comodo. Abbiamo chiesto una camera con una vista buona, e ne abbiamo una sul 5° piano con una vista bella sulla stazione ferroviaria e giardino vicino. Per esempio, il nostro server del colazione del giorno precedente ha fatto uno sforzo speciale per venire qui e parlare con noi il giorno dopo, anche se non era il nostro server quel giorno. Veramente buon sforzo per farti sentire comodo! L'hotel dispone di una bella sala fitness, ma non ha piscina (puoi pagare i privilegi di piscina in un edificio adiacente). Il bellissimo ristorante dell'hotel (Camera ovale) è anche una serie di storia. Ci siamo stati colazione due volte e dessert (non cena) una volta. È molto notevole, e il cibo era molto buono. Il parcheggio qui può essere un problema. Puoi parcheggiare in un parcheggio piuttosto piccolo in un piano al primo piano dell'hotel, o in fondo a un garage. Il primo piano è spesso riempito di patroni del ristorante o delle funzioni commerciali, ma il piano di sotterraneo non era mai pieno, e noi usavamo quella una nelle due notti del nostro soggiorno. Solo notare che il garage di sotterraneo non ha ascensore. In generale, abbiamo avuto un piacevole soggiorno al Fort Garry.

This was an overnight, weekend leisure stay for a nearby event. Despite having never stayed here before, the location was very convenient and the website photos were encouraging. Booking was simple using the website and check in was pleasant. On entering the room, the temperature was noticeably hot. Uncomfortably hot. We assessed this was because of direct sunlight coming through the window so we closed the shade somewhat and beeped the temperature down on the thermostat. Due to our schedule, and not thinking it would be an issue, we left immediately and didn't advise the desk. On return later that evening, the room was still incredibly hot (~25-30C) despite the thermostat being set to 19C. We had another timeline to make but we advised the desk on leaving. We were told the room temperature was ”centrally controlled” and that it wasn't possible to change it. We were offered a change of room but this was impossible as we had to leave immediately. We were offered a fan which we accepted. On return to the room the 3rd time later that night, the temperature was ridiculously high and nearly unbearable; the vent was blowing hot. The fan was of little use as the window would not open so it simply circulated stale air. We also noticed the blinds would not fully close so early morning sunlight brought an abrupt end to an already terrible night's sleep. On check out, the person at the desk made no inquiry into the quality of our stay and we simply left the keys on the desk. I then had to call the hotel later for a copy of the receipt as one wasn't emailed. I stay in hotels 60+ nights/year and this was one of the worst for quality, value and customer service. I will not be returning.

L'hotel è difficile da raggiungere con la costruzione e il parcheggio non è conveniente. L'area è un luogo di alto crimine e può essere molto inconfortabile intorno all'area. Hotel è stato confezionato con persone. Ci è stato detto che molti di noi rimasevano perché erano stati spostati o provenivano dal paese, che è del tutto bene, e solo un problema per il grande volume di persone e famiglie che vivono a lungo termine nell'edificio e nella piccola zona di accoglienza. Solo due ascensori funzionavano e uno era rotto per un po', ci erano lunghe linee per accedere all'ascensore. Il personale era ovviamente esaurito e per lo più indifferente. Ci era sicurezza, ma la zona e l'hotel non si sentono al sicuro. Era una notte molto alta, convulsa, eccitante per noi.

Godetevi un soggiorno tranquillo e rilassante all'Holiday Inn - Airport West! Servizio accogliente e cordiale, camera spaziosa e immacolata, lenzuola di seta sul letto king size e servizi eccellenti in camera. Nonostante la pandemia, siamo stati in grado di utilizzare la piscina: un processo di registrazione efficiente ed equo ci ha dato 1 ora al giorno (avrebbe potuto essere di più). La colazione continentale non era inclusa, ma la posizione è eccellente e potevamo facilmente attraversare la strada per sushi e bubble tea, pizza, bistecca e altro! Anche un Shoppers Drug Mart e un Liquor Mart proprio dall'altra parte della strada. E, se vuoi fare un po' di esercizio, questo hotel è vicino al bellissimo Assiniboine Park & Zoo!

Val è una gentile signora e si prende cura di lei come membro della famiglia speciale. Puoi trovare un piccolo pezzo di cioccolato fatto a casa sul tuo letto, godere del calore di un caldo aperto accogliente. Vedi la foto. Sentirsi come casa è quello che stanno cercando di fare ogni giorno per farti quella impronta in tutti i dettagli che vedrete in questa proprietà affittabile. Ho chiamato questa esperienza di valore per ogni penny che era difficile da qualsiasi parte del mondo, ma un posto per sentirsi come casa gestita da 2 donne generose e calde. Non voglio scrivere troppo perché probabilmente non potrei prenotarli la prossima volta.
