Dilly - Das Nationalpark Resort

We had booked the specific hotel mostly for the childrens' activities and facilities in the hotel as well as other activities in the area which were advertised on the hotel's website as being included in the price (the cost of the activities would be deducted from the hotel bill at check out), or at a discount when being a resident of the hotel. Upon arrival I specifically enquired about these activities and I was told by a staff member (that did not speak english at an adequate level) that all information is on the website and that I should scan the QR code found in my hotel room to see the activities details. After scanning the QR code, I could not find anywhere on the website clearly which activities are included in the price, which were at discount and which are at full extra cost. Later on the first day (around 9:00-9:30 pm), I went back to the reception to ask for clarifications. There was only 1 staff member present in the reception area. This staff member seemed to be serving both the reception and the adjacent bar. I asked again for a clear list of activities and their prices / discounts. I got the same response that everything was on the website, so I specifically showed him from the hotel website some activities (summer toboggaging, high ropes course, cable cars and chair lifts) and he confirmed to me that these activities are included in the price (i,e, that you pay for them and then get these paid amounts deducted from your final bill). The next day we went for the Wurbauerkogel Chairlift, and the toboggaging. While on the mountain, I called the hotel and the same staff member that I had spoken to the previous night answered the phone. I asked whether the archery activity is included in the price, to which he confirmed that it was included, and I specifically enquired whether it was fully deducted from the price or only a discount would be made and he confirmed that it was fully deducted. In terms of the activities organised by the hotel and advertised on the website, again no list could be provided apart from the weekly schedule of the childrens club which was provided to us in German and we were told to look on the website for the English version. Upon a couple of enquiries at the reception for these, we were directed to ask the person at the Children's club, which we did, to realize that the person was completely unaware of some of these activities (footgolf, family golf, fishing for kids, chaos family puzzle hunt, snow torch-lit walks) and he was going to check and come back to us. He only called us back on the end of the day while we asked in the morning (bearing in mind that we had booked a 3 night stay), to say that these activities are not provided. Before reading the next section for context I should clarify that this is a family run hotel and the family is fully involved in running the hotel. We stayed two nights in this fabulous resort hotel and would love to return. Excellent standard of accommodation, facilities and food. The staff were exceptionally friendly and spoke superb English. The swimming pools are fabulous and the scenery is breathtaking. We can thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Wir sind für einen Kurzurlaub mit der ganzen Familie (10 Personen) angereist. Die erste Verwunderung gab es, als wir zusätzlich zum stolzen Preis pro Person € 35,00 bezahlen mussten, damit wir vor 15 Uhr den Wellnessbereich benutzen konnten. Die Größe (Kleinheit) der Zimmer und des Bades war dann die echte Enttäuschung. So eine Zimmergröße darf es in einer 4 SterneS Kategorie einfach nicht geben. Dann freuten wir uns auf das angepriesene Gourmetmenü am Abend. Daraus wurde leider nichts, es gab ein Buffet, einen lieblos gedeckten Tisch, so wir uns sogar die Wassergläser selber holen mussten und einen viel zu kleinen Buffetraum, wo sich die Gäste gegenseitig auf die Füße treten. Als wir uns dann bei der Großen "Chefin" beschwerten, hat sich diese in eine Art und Weise benommen, die mit Gastfreundschaft nichts zu tun hat.

Zuerst das Positive: Toller Spa-Bereich, ausgezeichnete Küche, freundliche Mitarbeiter und eine perfekte Lage am Rande des Ortes. Leider gibt es auch Mankos, die beziehen sich hier nur auf "Studios mit Balkon", da ich die anderen Zimmer nicht kenne: 1.) Das Schlafsofa mag vielleicht zum Schlafen geeignet sein, zum Sitzen ist es aber extrem unbequem, nach 2 Tagen hatten wir schon massive Kreuzschmerzen. 2.) Die Betten haben sehr harte Matrazen 3.) Der Kachelofen im Zimmer ist nicht echt, man kann damit nicht heizen, er ist nur Dekoration; dies geht aus keiner Beschreibung hervor. 4.) Die Heizung, wiewohl im Zimmer vorhanden, kann nur zentral von der Rezeption gesteuert werden; d.h für jede Temperaturänderung (warm oder kalt) muss man bei der Rezeption anrufen und darum bitten. Dies ist auf die Dauer lästig, man wird zum ständigen Bittsteller umso mehr als der Heizkörper so ungünstig in der Möblierung angebracht ist, dass direkt beim Thermostat eine Wärmeinsel entsteht. Fazit, ein Techniker kam und demontierte das Thermostat damit der Heizkörper überhaupt ansprang. Ich würde das Hotel wieder besuchen, sicher aber ein anderes Zimmer in einem der neueren Trakte buchen!

Wir waren das dritte Mal in diesem Hotel. Nur dieses Mal war es unter unseren Erwartungen. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht mehr. Wir zahlten für das Doppelzimmer mit HP € 200,-- pro Person Zimmer: 1. Tag funktionierte nur die "kleine" WC-Spülung - sehr unangenehm 2. Tag funktionierte die Heizung nur im Bad nicht aber im Zimmer bei 6 Grad Außentemperatur. Wurde erst am Abend gerichtet. Die Heizung kann nur übers Tablet geregelt werden. Zimmerreinigung erfolgte schlampig. Kalkflecken auf den Armaturen. Mein oranges Handtuch war dünn und ausgefranst und es hingen die Fäden davon. Würde ich daheim als Putzfetzen verwenden. Gibt es keine Kontrolle des Reinigungspersonals? Restaurant: Lieblos angerichtetes Buffet glich einer Kantine. Spaghetti und Kartoffelstampf waren so scharf - konnte ich leider nicht essen. Beim Personal ist Luft nach oben. Beim Abendessen bestellte ich einen Radler und bat es anzuwärmen (hat bisher in jedem Hotel funktioniert), bekommen habe ich ein eiskaltes Bier; am Nebentisch bestellte man 1/4 l Rotwein, bekam nur ein 1/8 l Rotwein, hinter uns bestellte man ein Weizenbier, bekam ein Krügerl, ein anderer Gast bestellte Berner Würstel, der Kellner meinte immer Burenwurst. Es ist ein Problem wenn die Deutschkenntnisse fehlen. Wo war ein Oberkellner, eine Oberkellnerin der/die das kontrolliert? Wellnessbereich: Man bekam 2 Badetücher pro Person. Wäre kein Problem gewesen, wenn die kleinen Handtücher zum Draufsetzen vorhanden gewesen wären. Am ersten Tag lagen noch ein paar im Regal in der Burgtherme dann gähnende Leere. Wurden auch nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Weiter Weg zur Rezeption um ein Badetuch zu holen. Auch das Duschgel wurde nicht nachgefüllt. Generell sah man ganzen Tag keinen Mitarbeiter, keine Mitarbeiterin welche(r) kontrollierend durch die Räume ging. Fazit: Preis/Leistung stimmt nicht. Wir werden dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen.

Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl gefühlt und unsere Kids erst. Das Personal ist wunderbar und die Möglichkeiten/Aktivitäten die das Hotel bietet ist für alle Familienmitglieder etwas dabei. Einzige ist, man braucht etwas Zeit um alles zu finden :) das Haus ist sehr verwinkelt.
