Hotel in zona Namibiese Christelike Sentrum (NCS), Windhoek

Ci sono due hotel Hilton, uno accanto all'altro. Da un lobby all'altro lobby ci vuole 1 minuto a piedi. L'hotel è nuovo. Le camere sono ampie. Il letto è comodo. Il bagno ha una buona pressione idrica. La ricezione del wifi è molto buona. La piscina si trova sul primo piano. Il ginnastico è chiuso, ma ti danno la possibilità di utilizzare il ginnastico dell'altro Hilton. La colazione è di base: tè, caffè, uova, salsicce, frutta e pane. Ho scritto all'hotel per chiedere se avessero scelte senza glutine e mi hanno risposto di sì. Quando arrivarono non avevano scelte senza glutine. L'ultimo giorno del mio soggiorno andarono all'altro Hilton e mi hanno portato un po' di pane senza glutine. La posizione dell'hotel è buona, a passi da una delle strade principali con centri commerciali e ristoranti, la chiesa tedesca, l'edificio che la Corea del Nord ha fatto a Windohek e alcune caffetterie. Le camere sono insonorizzate, con cui è molto tranquillo e dormi molto bene. Le foto che usciranno su Trip.com devono essere aggiornate, molte delle quali corrispondono all'altro Hotel Hilton. Non è stato tutto cattivo: l'hotel dispone di una posizione centrale, un delizioso buffet colazione, buone bagni - e hanno fornito un servizio eccellente con un test antigenico. Ma siamo arrivati dopo un'auto a cinque ore, solo per essere informati che la stanza non era pronta come normale alle 15:00. Le camere (avevamo due) erano sottostanti: tinture sul tappeto, finestre molto sporche (tipo di uccelli), mobili in parte ingoiati e WiFi instabile. In un certo punto le nostre carte chiave non funzionavano a causa di un errore tecnico, quindi non potevamo usare l'ascensore senza assistenza. Ho visitato altri Hilton, in generale con esperienze positive. Ma per il prezzo che ho pagato non posso raccomandare Hilton Windhoek.

Esperienza super positiva! Hotel veramente chic e con ogni comfort, inoltre è nel centro di Windohek! Dotato di palestra, centro commerciale, 2 ristoranti e 2 bar, servizi vari eccellenti. Abbiamo passato qui la nostra ultima notte del viaggio di nozze e non potevamo concludere meglio di così. Una menzione particolare a Schey (uno dei ragazzi del ristorante del 15esimo piano) per la sua gentilezza e simpatia, servizio impeccabile! Grazie di cuore!

PROS We stayed for 1 night in one of the”luxury” tented options. Please take note that we now have stayed in a variety of room options at Arrebusch Lodge This lodge is our preferred place to stay in Windhoek after a long journey. However, with regards to the” luxury tented accommodation- it has an almost 16 sq m bathroom (brick) with a large shower and ample space. Clean and comfortable beds and bedding in the tent area ( same size as the bathroom) An aircon that worked properly. Outside a veranda with a braai with ample light options. CONS We missed the coffee station and a small table in the tent. If you are looking for value for money consider Block C/B and the square which also includes a great breakfast at the price. About the tented accommodation, we unfortunately had a ”horrible” experience. Our tent was on the far end of the premises close to the main road and fence. We arrived there while the October Fest was in full swing and it felt as if the speakers and boom boxes were just across the road. To their credit(management) we found a letter from management in the tent apologizing (warning us ?) about the sound pollution. The traffic on the road ( and police vehicle sirens} added to this ”sound pollution”. I didn't sleep at all and at one point 04:00 felt like checking out. For the very first time, we even felt unsafe. Yes to be fair we understand management can not be blamed for the noise but I am sure that on a ”normal” day or weekend, the road noise will also affect the quality of your stay. I will never stay in the ”luxury” tented accommodation again. There are far better value-for-money options available at Arrebusch. BACK TO THE TENTS

A mall is next door but you need to taxi to see any sites. Outlets are strangely hidden behind furniture which makes it inconvenient to charge your phone. The remote for the TV and A/C is bizarrely given to you with the room key, it should stay in the room. And thus the a/c was not on when I entered the room. The free bottles water was not the fridge where I could have had cold water waiting for me. The behind the bed lamp takes the room lighting from dim yellow to natural white yet it doesn't stay on for long and would start flickering. The ceiling light is in your eyes when you're lying in bed looking at your phone. I found a roach in my room so I shouldn't have left my suitcase open. Bedsheets had a blood stain on them. There's no room for towels in the bedroom so it took me a minute to find them in the room. No solid hand soap for sink, just body wash in a tube. Towel had stains on it, bathroom mirror is too low, its next to the sink. it should be a few inches higher. Rate is $51 a night for a single room, they they charge extra per child. Don't get a room on the first floor. The hotel doesn't have umbrellas for guests. The restaurant menu does not have a meat free pasta option for vegetarians. They have a whole seafood section but not a vegetarian option. The alfredo pasta was more like a cheddar soup. Service is slow in restaurant, then asked if I wanted to leave a tip. They had an impressive collection of cakes. For breakfast they put the salami together with the cheese, cucumber and tomatoes and only one tong. I don't want to eat a cucumber that's touching meat. The mushrooms were burnt beyond recognition. Only canned fruit was served at breakfast. I liked the passion fruit welcome drink when I arrived at the hotel.
