Fir Trees Guest House

We always stay at this wonderful guest house when we go to the Lake District. We have just arrived home after another fabulous stay. The hosts are brilliant, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They always guide us on some stunning walks giving us hints and tips to make it as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast available is gorgeous and always served to the highest of standards. The little extras like the fruit, homemade flapjack and water and fresh milk in your room make such a difference. The guest house is perfectly situated between Bowness-On-Windermere and Windermere which gives you lots of options for an evening meal or drinks etc. We would highly recommend Fir Trees and we will definitely be back! The Fir Trees Guest House is ideally located for a lovely time in the Lakes. Tim & Vicki are brilliant hosts and will do anything to make your stay memorable. The breakfasts are cooked fresh and very enjoyable. We found it was ideal for seeing the Lake District. Both Windermere and Bowness have some lovely places to eat.

Friendly and attentive hosts who make every effort to ensure you enjoy your stay. Centrally located it is an easy walk into both Windermere and Bowness. Food excellent and rooms immaculate so perfect for visiting and touring the Lake District.

Very warm welcome from Vicki and Tim. Quality of service is first class. Rooms very clean and well-spaced out. Breakfast is particularly good with local produce and sets you up for the day. Location is ideal for both Windermere and Bowness walks out on an evening to grab a meal. Lovely warm and welcoming foyer. hallway and stairs. Been here before and will do again.

Once again our stay at Fir Trees was brilliant, Tim and Vicky are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are so comfortable and clean, fresh milk each day and home made flap jacks are great. The breakfasts are made to order with plenty of choice and are excellent, Fir Trees is between the village and the lake with walking distance to both and the local buses take you to surrounding places. Hope to return again soon.
