Il punto di forza della struttura è la pulizia. Tolto questo rimangono elementi che non giocano suo a favore. La stanza era molto piccola e arredata con mobilio troppo ingombrante; l’orario della colazione ci ha messi in difficoltà visto che l’inizio era inderogabilmente alle 8:30, che poi diventavano 9 visto che non c’era un buffet e il servizio al tavolo era molto lento; nostra intenzione era fare escursioni nel Lake District e iniziare prima la giornata. Il titolare non si è reso disponibile a fare un’eccezione nemmeno per il giorno in cui avevamo il volo. La colazione andava ordinata il giorno prima, pratica alquanto insolita e sgradevole. Inspiegabilmente, per la cucina non è stato possibile prepararci due semplici sandwich presenti nel menu e ordinati il giorno precedente. Siamo stati tratti in inganno da un vecchio video postato sul sito della struttura in cui i titolari illustravano la loro capacità di accoglienza. Abbiamo lasciato l’hotel in anticipo sui nostri programmi.

So many properties and hotels nowadays are run by bureaucrats. At Cedar Manor, the hosts are thoughtful, hospitable, and have good taste. This especially shines through in the food. Don’t miss the afternoon Tea, where you can probably skip dinner afterwards. Breakfasts are exceptional as well. The hotel itself sits in an oasis of superb landscaping; on entering you seem to leave the hurly-burly of the touristy area of Windermere, even though it’s not far away.

Best afternoon tea we've ever had. The waitress and Jonathan were lovely. The afternoon tea is divided into 4 courses, pre starter, starter, main (sandwiches), desserts (assorted). Very generous and a bargain. Lots of choice of fresh loose tea, blue lady is the best. Tea refills are infinite as well. So so so beautiful and delicious. If you're in the area it's worth a visit. Favourite part was the beautiful cucumber sandwiches, salmon, and the choux pastries with creme patisserie. Absolutely gorgeous. There's parking on site too. Thanks for the great experience ❤️

The service was attentive and so friendly, we had a huge choice of teas,and the food was divine,several courses of delicate locally sourced delishesness preceded a fantastic selection of cakes,which we couldn't finish,and so were given a take home box. All served on fine bone china.Just wonderful, thank you for a fabulous afternoon!

What a beautiful property to arrive to! LIke driving into your country estate! Rooms are small but gorgeous. Not a thing missing or sloppy. They’ve taken great care in the design and decor so you feel you’re in a special place. Very comfortable from the king bed, the window we could open to let in fresh air and the morning sounds. Great ensuite bathroom, again beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were perfect. And this venue is a 5 minute walk to the town of Windermere. Bowness, a 30 minute walk. Both lovely and fun. We hope to return to this beautiful property and to the astonishing Lake District. Amazing!

We stayed at The Cedar Manor hotel for three nights and were in no rush to leave. Everything about the hotel is first rate, the hotel itself is picture perfect, inside the rooms are modern, well eqipped and tastefully decorated. The food superb, The level of service exceptional and nothing too much trouble for the management and staff. I would not hesitate in booking another stay at Cedar Manor and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional break in the Lake District.

We had the best afternoon tea we've ever had. Tea served in china ( which is becoming rarer, sadly); to start we had a small cup of excellent soup, a gruyere delicacy, fab sandwiches with well-balanced fillings. Then tasty scones with lovely jam and cream. To finish there was a selection of gorgeous cakes. We were given what we couldn't eat in a beautifully gift-wrapped box. The hotel was plush and very clean and we received a warm welcome. All at a reasonable price although we'd have been happy to pay more .

My wife and I had the privilege of staying at Cedar Manor in November 2023. We timed our trip for the week after Thanksgiving and it worked out beautifully! The tourist crowd was mostly gone and we were able to go and see all of the lovely surrounding areas of the Lake District. The weather was surprisingly cooperative. Cedar Manor was a perfect choice, not only because it is strategically placed near the center of the District, but also because the owners, Caroline and Jonathan Kaye, have clearly put a lot of love into this lovely little part of Windermere. We enjoyed our room, which was meticulously kept by a friendly staff; our meals, perfectly prepared each morning to our order; and our tea, which was a delightful experience that you shouldn't miss if you visit the area. In all, this is a boutique accommodation with really lovely spaces and a local feel that is all about the region, including beautiful artwork on the walls (we bought 2 paintings!) and furniture appointments that feel luxurious without being stuffy. We were grateful for the opportunity to get to know the area and to the Kayes for their perfect hospitality!

We went to Cedar Manor for Afternoon Tea for my Mum's 78th birthday, and we weren't disappointed! Cedar Manor itself is absolutely beautiful with well tended gardens, just perfect in the sunshine. The service provided by Caroline and Jonathan was fabulous - they were both really attentive and made the whole experience just perfect. The Afternoon Tea is exceptional, using fantastic local quality produce. It's the best Afternoon Tea we've had and to top it all off, anything we were unable to eat was boxed up so that we could take it home to enjoy! I would highly recommend Cedar Manor!
