Lovely hotel with plush furniture and atmosphere and very clean and tidy. Good parking facilities and set in a great location within a few meters of Windermere town centre but in a peaceful location despite this. Our room was clean, tidy a fresh with a good size en-suite with power shower. Not a large room with limited storage space for hanging clothes but sufficient for our needs. Comfortable double bed and wall mounted TV. Excellent view across green space to the hills from our room (room3). Lovely restaurant and bar with similar view. Staff were helpful and friendly, particularly Kevin who was always available to assist and support as well as manning the bar. Very with our stay and would visit again.

We recently returned from a 6 night stay at Applegarth. Our fourth visit in as many years. Our visit was as incredible as ever. We stayed in Stickle suite which was absolutely luxurious. The rooms were super comfortable and filled with so many little details that made our stay special. The views from our balcony were stunning. Kevin, Michelle and the team are the most wonderful hosts. They take the experience over the top.

We had a romantic getaway and stayed in one of the gorgeous hot tub suites. Just beautiful and so relaxing. The rooms are so spacious and room to chill on the sofa. We stayed in Middlerigg which has a large private balcony where you can relax in the hot tub whilst looking at the spectacular views of the lakes. We had also enjoyed dinner in the Apple restaurant. A great stay and we can’t wait to return.

We spent three nights at the Applegarth Villa Hotel staying in Room 16, which was a large room with a private outside terrace. The standard of the room was excellent with luxurious furnishings and a very comfortable king sized bed. We were made to feel very welcome by hosts Michelle and Kevin and at all times we felt like our hosts knew us all individually. Nothing was too much trouble for either the hosts or other staff members. The hotel is decorated throughout to a very high standard standard and lived up to its five-star rating. The choice at breakfast was extensive with individual table service unlike many hotels which like you to queue up to pick your own from a buffet. Eating in the hotel was unhurried and the snack and dinner menus had a wide choice of dishes. Private (free) parking and access to an electric car charger were welcome additions. We can thoroughly recommend Applegarth and intend to return soon.

We received a very warm welcome when checking in together with an complementary upgrade to a better room. Everything was great throughout our stay. The room was one of the best we have had. Furnishings were of a high standard and everything worked as expected. The food and drink was really good, cooked and served to a high standard. All the staff were friendly and courteous. Can't recommend Applegarth too highly.

After staying at the Applegarth Villa Hotel in February we just had to return. The hotel is so warm and welcoming. It is also very handy for buses and trains. We stayed in room 4 this time and I have to say the room is so comfortable and tastefully decorated. The views from the window are amazing. It also has its own private car park wich is very handy. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

What a find. It couldn't have been so central and 2mins walk from Windermere railway station. Was easy to find with free and safe parking. Had a warm welcome and the room was warm and welcoming too. Facilities where all you could ask for, comfy bed and an amazing shower. We also enjoyed an amazing dinner. I had the sea bass with the tastiest vegetables I have every eaten. Ross at 'The Apple' is a great chef that delivers that special meal for any occasion. It was our 3rd wedding anniversary and it was a very special meal. The decor is very cosy too, a kind of arts and crafts mixed with modern cosy. Would definitely book again.

We stayed for 4 nights in the Harrop Suite. One word describes it luxurious. Spotlessly clean, comfortable very large bed, gorgeous bathroom. Suzanne and Kevin are great hosts mak8ng you feel very relaxed and nothing is too much trouble. Highly reccomend it.

Beautiful friendly place, right in town but so quiet. Luxurious spotless room with super king bed looking out to the playing fields, car park and the Langdales. Unfortunately we stayed on a Sunday night when the restaurant was closed so didn't get to sample the evening menu although breakfast made up for that - Thank you
