Williamsburg Sampler B & B

The house is lovely! Stephanie is a wonderful cook and very helpful. She would offer dinner recommendations and always suggested reservations as most places required them. I would suggest asking for breakfast times/head count from the guests (the UK does this). This would help to keep from making too much food if people are not eating before checking out.

My wife and I were here the first week in November 2023. What a wonderful place! It’s cozy, quiet, and the attention to detail are stunning. Coffee and food are in a plentiful supply :-) Most importantly… the HOST! Stephanie is a national treasure. She makes you feel at home the second you get there. We’re not the most outgoing people, but we felt at home immediately. You can tell She loves what she does. And the breakfasts? We probably gained 10 lbs in 3 days lol! Everything you could imagine, fresh made daily! I didn’t wanna leave. The place is situated a few minutes (literally) from everything. All the tourist sites are 5-20 minutes away. Parking is ample. The beds are not too soft. The room furniture was comfortable. My only minor quibble would be the bathrooms. They are small and a little tough to navigate if you have physical issues like me. (A plunger would be handy -sorry bout that). But the house is probably 200 years old. So that’s expected. Everything else more than makes up for it. All in all, we traveled hundreds of miles to get here. And if we could, we’d bring Stephanie up North in a heartbeat! More bread pudding please!!! :-) 4 stars all the way around!

Every part of this charming home is filled with conversation pieces. This is the least bland location I can imagine. Our family constantly marveled at the curiosity pieces and the outdoor garden was calming and charming. The location was convenient and the staff were accommodating and friendly.

My wife and I had a great stay over the weekend. We had the entire house to ourselves Friday evening until Saturday morning. We awoke to Stephanie, our host, preparing eggs, bacon, and much more. She was fantastic, funny, and gave us plenty of advice on places to go and things to see. This was our first time staying in a B&B and the Williamsburg Sampler was above and beyond what we imagined. IT will be hard to go back to a standard hotel room after this. Highly recommended.

Perfect Anniversary trip! Stephanie treated us like a King and Queen. Thank you for breakfasts that were out of this world. So comfortable and cozy! Great location for a visit to Colonial Williamsburg and surrounding area. Our room had a living room fireplace and outdoor porch for enjoying a relaxing evening after walking all over the colonial area. Don't miss this find.

We booked a single night at the Sampler on a whim. We were spending the day at Busch Gardens, and after a full day of 98 degree (felt like 101) we thought maybe the 3 hour drive home would be a bit much, and wanted to stay somewhere nearby. The pictures do not do this place justice. You’re greeted as soon as you walk in by the friendliest staff, and given a brief tour of the downstairs. They offer free coffee, soda, and waters, and beers for $3 in a newly renovated, GORGEOUS kitchen. The entire downstairs is FULL of the most unique antiques and interesting finds (some historic, some not). It’s incredibly eclectic, and doesn’t feel cluttered. Everything is EXTREMELY clean, and you can quite literally feel that the owners and staff genuinely care about the property and take excellent care of it. We stayed in the “Lord Nelson Chamber”. The bed was HUGE and genuinely the most comfy bed ever. I slept like a rock and honestly don’t even know if my partner was snoring or not because I was so comfortable. The shower has these incredible jets. Genuinely the most relaxing experience after a long day outside. Breakfast was served at 8:30. The table was set, and the food was AMAZING. They had Turkey sausages and eggs and fruit and it was just so good. They encourage a group dining situation so all guests can chat and get to know one another. We were so sad to have only spent one night here. But we will be absolutely coming back and staying for multiple nights. I almost didn’t want to write a review out of fear of this place getting booked up forever in advance. But it truly deserves all the stars.

My family and I spent 3 nights at the Sampler over this past Spring Break, and we had a wonderful time at Ike's place. We felt like we were staying with friends, and not only with the proprietor and staff, but with the other guests as well. Breakfast was filling, the showers were awesome, and the bed in the King William Suite was super-duper comfy. If we come back to the area in the future, we're sure to stay at The Williamsburg Sampler.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Williamsburg Sampler B & B. The accommodations were lovely - cozy and inviting decor with several different seating areas for guests downstairs to relax outside of their rooms in addition to a open and large kitchen - dining area. The rooms themselves were comfortable and well appointed. The Breakfasts were suburb! Stephanie, the B & B hostess out-did herself with her hospitality. Pluses included that Colonial Williamsburg and a variety of restaurants were within walking distance. We plan to go back.

Excellent bed and breakfast. Room was clean, house was beautiful and the host made us an incredible breakfast! Perfectly situated right down the road from Colonial Williamsburg, would highly recommend!
