Everything was perfect. One of the nicest hotel, feeling like home. Amazing big rooms, where you can everything what you need and even more, nice spa area. And big thanks the most friendly owner family. Gratfull for nicest hospitality and top service.

Amazing place, amazing host family who accommodated our dietary requirements. Perfectly clean, warm water in the pool. The hotel is right on the slopes, where there are few people and you can learn to ski. We look forward to another holiday in Talhof.

For the second time, we spent a great vacation at Hotel Talhof. Our experience is extremely positive, the owners and staff are at the highest level, always smiling, friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is beautiful, in Alpine style, the interior is preserved, the apartments are beautiful, spacious, with new equipment and a fireplace. The hotel has a spacious garage, an extremely beautiful and large swimming pool, wellness areas, play areas and a heated place for storing ski equipment. The surroundings are like from a fairy tale, it is possible to do many things. Another advantage is that you can reach the hotel's ski slopes directly from the hotel premises with two lifts. Ski slopes are suitable for families with small children or teenagers. A ski school is offered. It is possible to run with skis, go down with sleds. Oberau is an idyllic village, and the hotel is located towards the end of it. The view of the surrounding hills is outstanding. Time stops there, man merges with nature. The trails are extremely well-groomed, and if you want to ski on higher slopes, you can do so independently or with the help of the hotel. Exceptional location. Close to major cities such as Kitzbühel, Olympic Innsbruck, Munich, Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Wonderful week staying in the Talhof (large apartment) with our three children: 11, 9 & 8. This was our first family ski trip. So late in the season the snow had left Oberau and Niederau but no matter, we drove ten mins through the beautiful green hills and villages to ski at Auffach each day. Talhof is a lovely family run hotel, beautifully modern and pristine but with all the charm of an Austrian chalet. The spa and pool area where fab- steam room, sauna, heated chairs and relaxation suite. Food was amazing and plentiful (4 courses for the half board set menu), apartment was brand new and cosy with breathtaking views towards the mountains. Warm swimming pool which kept our kids entertained for hours and a teenage games room and soft play room for the little ones. Service was authentic, friendly and faultless. We are well travelled and this little hotel is a gem. Very sad to leave after our fabulous week and hope to be back!

This hotel/apartment is on a cute little road up in the mountains. Great restaurant, spacious rooms, and a nice pool. Would recommend for sure! Our family with 2 teenagers stayed for one night and wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect location! Very good hospitality!! Lot of options for kids activities We also enjoyed SPA. Rooms were comfortable Open-grill was good with reasonable price ! Host is very kind and helpful. The private lake owned by the host is a “must visit”

Great place for a family holiday. We visited the place for the 2nd time because also previously we liked it very much. Child-friendly hotel, what is important for us, very good located, comfortable, spacious rooms, Also great views from the balcony of course 😊

Wonderful hotel in beautiful Wildschönau. Fantastic apartment, clean, big and modern. Quiet place. Hotel had a really nice spa-and pool area which we all enjoyed. Friendly and service minded owners of the hotel. We will definitely come back.

Das Talhof liegt im „Roggenboden“ etwas abseits der Massen, ruhig gelegen, dennoch - aus meiner Sicht - relativ zentral in Bezug auf die Gemeinde Wildschönau. Wanderer mit guter bis sehr guter Kondition können die meisten Gipfel von hier fußläufig erreichen. Die vielen Parkmöglichkeiten ermöglichen es einem aber auch mit dem PKW seinem Ziel etwas näher zu rücken und dann kleinere Wanderungen zu unternehmen. Alternativ kann man auch den Wanderbus benutzen, dieser startet direkt vor dem Hotel. Einkehrmöglichkeiten auf diversen Almen gibt es auch (zu empfehlen sind die Schönangeralm, ein Startpunkt vieler Wanderungen, oder auch die Achentalalm am Kragenjoch). Nach einem langen und anstrengendem Wandertag kann man im hoteleigenen Swimmingpool wunderbar abkühlen, und der Spa-Bereich mit Sauna, Dampfbad, Infrarot-Wärmebänken sowie einem Ruheraum bieten wunderbar die Möglichkeit einfach mal abzuschalten und zu entspannen. Zu empfehlen ist auch die etwas abgelegene Schafalm der Familie Riedmann, mit Natursee. Auch hier kann man einen entspannten Tag verbringen, sich im See abkühlen und das wunderschöne Bergpanorama genießen. Sonnenschirme, Liegen, Eis und kühle Getränke gibt es ausreichend vor Ort. Knurrt dir der Magen? Kein Problem, ich kann das Restaurant im Hotel absolut empfehlen. Besonders gut schmeckt die Forelle (auf Vorbestellung), aber auch den Klassiker „Schnitzel Wiener Art“ mit den Preiselbeeren kann ich empfehlen. Auch gibt es eine Auswahl an Kuchen und eine Eiskarte, alles sehr lecker . Die Zimmer wurden gerade erst renoviert und sind sehr gemütlich. Und wenn das persönliche Budget etwas knapper ist, kann man sich auch selbst versorgen, eine kleine Küchenzeile ist Teil der Apartments. Ein sehr schöner Familienbetrieb mit hilfsbereiten und sehr freundlichen Gastgebern. Ich schließe meine Rezension mit einem Zitat vom Österreicher Arnold Schwarzenegger ab: I‘ll be back
