We have been to this hotel before, for a meal and a drink before leaving for home. Its the first time that we have stayed here and can honestly say it was a really good hotel. All the staff were so friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean with plenty of storage. The only thing was that the bathroom had a bath with a shower, but no shower screen or curtain, which meant that water did splash onto the floor. However we made a slight adjustment! The water was always hot and came through quickly. The food is what you expect. For breakfast a good selection, and more than enough choice. The evening meal, which was chosen at breakfast, had a choice of two meat or fish and a vegetarian one. All the food was well cooked and delicious. One evening we had a Tyrolean buffet...yummy! The ski room was OK, no individual boot warmers, but shelves. However, the boots were always dry in the morning. It was a relatively short walk to catch the bus to ski in Auffach; up to the Hotel Austria or to the Spar. Each a similar distance. The nearest place to ski down to the hotel, was by the button lift at the Hotel Alpenland. Then just a short walk across the road.

I have stayed in several hotels in Niederau and this has to be one of the best, my single room was lovely, warm and modern the food was very good and location for the nursery slope and gondola is over the road. a short walk to the supermarket and ski buses to Auffach / Alpbach was 5 mins walk. if I was to return the Simmerlwirt would be my first choice

We stayed at hotel Simmerlwirt from the 9th March for seven nights on a skiing holiday Room 223 We really enjoyed our stay here and would choose this hotel again. Arrived at about 9 pm to a friendly greeting by the owner of the hotel. After checking in to our room we were served a late meal by the restaurant staff, who were also very friendly. Our room was very nice and spacious with a newly refurbished bathroom. We had half board while we were there. The breakfast was nice hot or cold. Whilst having breakfast we could choose from a menus our evening meal. The food was delicious and one evening we had a buffet meal. All the staff so friendly and accommodating. There is a place downstairs to store your ski equipment and boots, and after a long days skiing we could relax in the steam room after a dip in the outside heated pool. Great experience and would recommend this hotel. Chris & Quan

I told them I had celiac disease about three months before I came and kept reminding them. I was so poorly after eating here and they did NOTHING about this. I emailed them to explain how poorly they made me feel as I miss a few days of skiing and I had to spend more to eat elsewhere. They IGNORED my emails. DO NOT COMR HERE if you have an allergy/ celiac like me.

There were six of us on a snowboarding holiday and this hotel had everything we needed - good food (and lots of it!), lovely hot sauna, steam room, outdoor heated pool and heated boot room. Excellent customer service: there was a problem with the booking (not the hotel's fault) which was sorted out as soon as they were able. Breakfast was a little repetitive, but just about enough choice. Evening meals were delicious - especially the soups - and there was plenty to eat. Restaurant and bar staff spoke excellent English and were attentive, efficient and friendly. I thought the mattresses were comfortable (even though other reviewers have said they aren't). I didn't rate the pillows, but this was the only downside in what was otherwise a very pleasant visit. Very close to the nearest lift and only a short walk away from the free bus to other resorts. One of our party got injured on the last day and they sorted out an ambulance. If I ever go back to Niederau, I will stay here again.

Travelled with family (Dad, Mum, 2 kids, 8 & 10 ) Location was spot on, short walk from hotel to the slopes . The mountain / slopes are well maintained . Loved the Skiing. We are a bunch of foodies so this is always important to us. Food was excellent daily , home cooked Austrian food which was cooked with love. Very tasty . The hotel was immaculate, from bedroom to bar, always well presented . Staff were also very lovely and helpful. I would recommend the hotel and location to family and friends.. the reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because of the beds . We like a softer mattress, this is a very small criticism . Overall this was an excellent holiday.

Our second visit to Hotel Simmerlwirt. All started with friendly welcoming. We arrived late in the evening expecting no dinner, however they had waited for us. Room was spacious with large balcony. Spotless , warm and modern. Rooms were cleaned every day. Suggest the half board option. The breakfast was delicious. Dinners deserve special mention with a surprise on Wednesday evening. Included is accessible outdoor heated pool and indoor saunas and steam room. Family run hotel who go all out to please. Staff make you fell at home. Especially the staff in the dining area. Location is simply fantastic in the centre of everything. Overall excellent value for money and we would love to return in the future.

Hotel generally good , we were a party of 14 and had an early departure, all other guests were given a breakfast packed for the departure, we weren't asked and only found out on the morning of departure to be told we were to late, very disappointed and what a shame to have to leave a poor review because of the staff forgetting 14 of us for breakfast?????

Beautiful hotel, staff are all very friendly and helpful, lovely clean spacious room, food is also delicious And the ski slopes is just across the road 😊 and plenty of variety. Our dinner was included and always had a choice to suit all, beautiful soups and selection of salads. Thank you for a great week.
