Escape to the Beach

This was by far the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. The rooms were incredibly clean, modern, and stylishly furnished. The staff were unbelievably friendly, with Sarie and Lyle being especially professional and personable. It felt like we were personally invited to Sarie’s home – that warm and welcoming. Snacks and drinks were all included in the price, which was a great touch. And the view? Absolutely phenomenal! We will definitely be coming back again and again. Simply perfect in every way!!

It is beautiful property in beautiful setting, just on the dune literally in the ocean. The sound of the waves grounds you and you will sleep like a baby. Rooms are highest standard, combined with award wining interior design very well looked after. Great concept, feels more like a holiday home than a lodge. Two very nice souls Sari and Lyl will show you what true hospitality is about and will make you feel home immediately. Don’t miss it…

When you step through the front door of ETTB, it is a mindblowing view out to the ocean - unforgettable. Everything is just amazing, from the all round staff service (love and care) to the breakfast and all the complementary goodies including drinks. There is something very special sitting looking out over the ocean or going onto the beach to get into it.

Look no further if you require outstanding levels of luxury in a phenomenal sea front location overlooking one of the Garden Routes best beaches. Sarie and Lyl go out of their way to ensure that your every need is catered for. Both the bedrooms and the communal areas are of amazing quality and comfort. A great deal of thought has clearly been given to both the decor and the furnishings. Breakfasts are excellent and superbly presented by the very talented chef Cherri. The staff looking after the rooms do a really fantastic job. An amazing selection of wine, fizz, alcoholic spirits, beers and non alcoholic drinks are available at no additional charge. We enjoyed a couple of excellent meals at The Girls and iLali in Wilderness village. We also ventured out a little further to 101MeadeStreet Restaurant in George which was fabulous and very reasonably priced. This is our second visit to ETTB and hopefully it will not be our last.

This is a guesthouse that lives up to its name: the welcome from the very friendly hostess Sarie was very pleasant and friendly. We had a beautiful room with a balcony and view of the ocean. On the ground floor there is a very stylish and tasteful living room, in front of which there is a sun deck with a pool. The whole house was always very quiet. The excellent and plentiful breakfast from the buffet and kitchen with numerous types of fruit and everything you can imagine was completely exceptional. There was nothing to be desired here. The hostess also offered us all kinds of drinks such as wine, juices, water and spirits, which are obviously freely available. We stayed at Escape To The Beach for five days and enjoyed every single one of them. In our opinion, you should definitely not spend less than 2-3 days enjoying this hospitality in order to get to know it in its entirety. We particularly recommend this guesthouse, as we have never experienced this very pleasant hospitality in such a consistent way. This has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed in It’s very hard to fault the place or its staff in any way. We would give it 11 /11 if it were possible We will be back for sure A M A Z I N G !!! We have already recommended the place to friends here in S A and those back in the UK
