Hotel in zona Prospect Fields, Whitstable

Abbiamo soggiornato qui per 2 notti questa settimana. L'hotel è proprio sul mare e in una posizione meravigliosa. Quando siamo arrivati il parcheggio gratuito era pieno ma ci sono carichi di parcheggio gratuito entro 400mtr dell'hotel quindi non preoccupate. Il personale della reception era bello e così erano il personale del bar. La colazione era molto deliziosa e fresca. La stanza era grande ( avevamo una camera di vista deluxe sul mare) e era proprio quello che ci aspettavamo. Bella toccata era i binoculari che mettono nella stanza per vedere il mare! In generale, un grande posto per rimanere.

Throughly enjoyed our 2 nights stay at The Marine Hotel. Couldn't fault the staff, service, room and food. A great location to walk to and from Whitsable, perfectly located with the most awesome view. Special mention to Patsy, who was lovely at breakfast time and also the team behind the bar were all super friendly and efficient. Thanks to all for a great stay. We'll be back!

You will be hard pressed to find a cleaner hotel nor more friendly and caring staff. Rooms are perfectly adequate for a short break, with comfortable beds and pillows. Considering it’s just off a very busy dual carriageway neither of us noticed noise from traffic. Food is reasonably priced for 2024 and very tasty ; well presented. It is quite a way from the city centre, but we drove here from Cardiff so a few miles into town doesn’t hurt. AND, you know where it is when you book! So don’t complain when you get there.

This hotel is completely unique. It is an ancient building with stairs, uneven floors in places and rooms above the shops along the Burgate directly next door to the Cathedral entrance. Our beautiful room at the back, had a four poster bed and views over the rooftops to the Cathedral. Access was up some steps through an outdoor seating area and a lovely residents lounge and up further steps. The staff were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to help in any way possible including giving advice about local restaurants and pubs, places to visit and car parking. Continental breakfast is included in the price with additional charges for full English. All brought to you at your table and excellent. We all absolutely loved this completely unique ancient and beautiful place with wonderful, kind, helpful staff.

Hampton Canterbury is a very convenient hotel situated right in the city centre of Canterbury. Supermarket, restaurants and cathedral is literally 2-3 mins away. This is the 3rd time I stay here. Breakfast is excellent. Although the menu does not change, it is a very reliable good old English breakfast serve in a buffet. It has everything you need to start your day. I love it and look forward to it every time. (Although you might get slightly bored if you stay for 5 days like me). The environment is generally clean. I do not have a high requirements in the level of cleanliness. So don’t take my word for it. It is not luxurious, but you will get everything you need to support you throughout your journey for leisure or for business. On facilities side, there is no fridge in the room. Which is not a must. The room is medium in size. One down side is that there is no shower curtain. You will get a lot of water on to the bathroom floor when you shower. I suggest that they attach a shower holder on the glass side of the shower box. That way the water is directed towards the wall a lot less water will get on the floor. I will bring a suction type shower holder of my own next time. I will actually put it in my packing list. It would come in handy during travel. There is no coin op laundry in the hotel. And I don’t see any coin op laundry around the area. So you you need to use the hotel laundry service which will always be expensive. Personally I think it is a great hotel. Great value for money and is my number 1 choice of hotel when I come to Canterbury. Thank you for looking after us.

A well-appointed hotel in a privileged location within the Cathedral precinct. The staff were helpful with a courteous and friendly disposition. Breakfast was excellent in quantity and quality. We strongly recommend this hotel when visiting Canterbury.

The hotel definitely needs a refurb, which seems to be ongoing as the bar and reception are nice but rest of the hotel appears dated. On the positives, it is a good distance from the centre of Canterbury and it seems tidy and fairly well run. On the downsides, it was as if a herd of buffalo were above us any time the moved around, the floorboards were that creaky. The walls are so thin that you can hear other people snoring. For the price, you shouldn’t be worrying about the noise of people either side or above you.

We have just returned from a 3-night stay at Judd’s Folly and would like to say that we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our cottage was lovely, very clean and in beautiful surroundings. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The food was great and overall it was excellent value for money. Thank you for helping us to have a relaxing, enjoyable stay.
