Laci's Country Inn

I'm sorry but you shouldn't stay here. I don't intend this to sound mean-spirited or disgruntled because I know this is someone's business. However.... please. Do not stay here. The vibes are bad. Several days before we were to arrive, we received a text message containing a numerical code to be used on the room's keypad door - totally fine. On arrival, I entered the lobby to check in, and it is empty save for a vending machine and an ATM. There is no front desk, no chairs, nothing. There was a lady that popped out of kind of a half door to greet me and tell me to use the door keypad. She did not ask for my name or ID. On entry to the room, I noticed that the door was loose/wobbly, even when shut. The bed appeared clean and freshly made, but when we pulled back the blanket, sheets were stained. The bathroom sink and shower were spotless with clean, folded towels. However. The 'chair' in the room appeared to be a white pleather corner piece of a sectional sofa. The desk is particleboard with raw edges. The TV is there, as advertised, but we never turned it on. There was a small step up between room and bathroom, which seemed to have electrical tape on it. Bare floor, bare walls. The window AC unit appeared to be lined or partially wrapped in aluminum foil. The windows were covered not with curtains, but with immovable shades. There were tufts of carpet stuck to the edges of the floor/wall where I guess the carpet had been pulled out. To me, it looked like cosmetic updates had been made to a sketchy foundation. The website photos do not in any way match what you are walking into. I'd like to close this by saying that I am a cheap traveler, often sticking to motels with numbers in the name, so this isn't coming from a place of expecting a 4-star place with breakfast. I truly felt unsafe in this motel and I cannot in good faith suggest that anyone stay here. If it's all you can afford, please make sure you have a way to at least jam the door to protect yourself.

Nothing fancy but good enough for me. The Wi-Fi was pretty weak so I ended having to use my phone’s hotspot. Good hot water and pressure and comfy bed, which is more important than Wi-Fi. But if you’re going to advertise having free Wi-Fi it should work well.
