The Europa

We had Room 4, which is the largest. Best shower and cubicle we have found in a B and B, comfy bed with good pillows and smelt so fresh. Very clean and tidy. The owners were very friendly and the cooked breakfast was excellent with ample choices. Definitely will go back.

I met Keith at The Quirky Den (a must if you like decent beers) back in June. When I found out Keith & his wife, Yvonne, owned a hotel I immediately booked to come back. The Europa is situated in West Cliff with great views over Whitby. You couldn't ask for a friendlier welcome. You feel like part of the family. Breakfast is spot on and the room was clean and comfortable. Parking can be a bit tricky. You can buy a scratch card permit, from the hotel, to park on the street if you can find a space. Otherwise there's West Cliff car park which seems to have plenty of spaces. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Excellent stay. Extremely friendly, clean hotel .great location . Will definitely return to this hotel if visiting whitby. Definitely recommend. Best night's sleep I've had in ages , the lady even washed and ironed my jeans (thanks again !) Great breakfast to start thr day ahead .

Just returned from a brill weekend at whitby and stayed at the Europa on Hudson street. Our host were fantastic and looked after us really well. Cant rate our stay highly enough. The rooms are well finished and have plenty of tea and coffee making facilities. Room temp just right.

My partner & I often go to Whitby but the usual place we stay at was booked up so decided to stay here and so glad we did . We arrived just before 10 am and was just expecting to get a parking permit and go off for the day, but we where told our room was available if we wanted to check in now, what a bonus! The guest house was cosy, clean and very quite. The breakfast was scrumptious which set us up for the day. The bed was so comfortable which gave us the best nights sleep. It’s situated close enough to the harbour but far enough away to not be bothered by all the tourists. The owner Keith was flying solo, as his wife was away, so with help from his son and sister they made us feel welcome and looked after us brilliantly! What a gem we have found and will definitely book direct again next time!

Yvonne & Keith made us so welcome & our room was lovely with a good sized onsuite. Breakfast was the best we have had on our travels, the poached eggs were amazing. I required gluten free & it was no problem. Overall an excellent experience. will definately return.
