We were firstly allocated an incorrect cabin with only a double bed, when we had reserved the "Garden Cabin" with a double bed and 3x single beds. The first allocated cabin was somewhere right at the back where it was shady and damp and smelled. When we went back to reception to inform them this was not what we booked, they typed around their keyboard for 5 or so minutes then gave us a new key, saying we can stay here as we are only staying for one night. Kind a like he was doing us a favor, hell we booked the "garden cabin" you are not doing us a favor. Not even an apology!!! While in the middle of our conversation the reception lady just dismissed us to chat to a co-worker who walked in, really. I was not rude or shouting, and rather pleasant regarding the circumstances, the reception staff interaction regarding customer services was below poor. Arriving at the 2nd allocated cabin, it appeared to be what we booked being a double bed and 3x single beds. When booking the room facilities stated we would have air conditioning and a garden view. Well, no air conditioning but a broken fan that could not stand so could not be used. Our garden view was looking into two jojo water tanks and later that evening when getting into bed thinking we will watch a little television, no tv remote to be found anywhere! Poor staff service. But what I can say is the room was very clean and neat, slept well on the bed with comfortable bedding and mattress. A big thank you to the gentlemen who served our coffee and tea at breakfast, the only person at the lodge who made our stay pleasant.
