Siamo rientrati ieri e tutto è andato davvero molto bene: le emozioni che ci siamo portati a casa sono talmente tante che non si riescono a condensare, abbiamo però un metro piuttosto semplice per misurare la bellezza di un viaggio: la NOSTALGIA che proviamo al rientro. E la nostra permanenza al Amakhala Game Reserve - Hlosi è stata davvero BELLISSIMA, perché la nostalgia è tanta. Scoprire il resort, con la sua natura immensa, gli animali, la struttura (molto bella e pulita) e soprattutto le persone dello staff (tutte molto gentili e accoglienti) è stato per noi uno spettacolo di fuochi d'artificio. Grazie a tutto lo staff del resort ed al ranger BOMAKELE per averci fatto vivere questa esperienza meravigliosa. TOP! PS Nell'arco di 3 safari abbiamo visto tutti e 5 i BIG FIVE (compreso il rinoceronte nero).

Only arrived yesterday but already impressed by what we've seen. Trucks are great and tracks are rough. Our guide 'Evans' has got us up close, so even with just the phone to take the photos we've got great pictures so far of the animals. The tents are great. Nothing like camping I've done before. The lodge only houses 28 so adequate space for all in the dining room and food is great.

We stayed 3 nights here and what an experience we had. The ‘tent’ was amazing, spacious and comfortable, with lots of heat options, a fab balcony point with a great view and a lovely bath next to a window overlooking the park. The staff were fantastic from the cleaning staff, the restaurant staff, the managers and the rangers, everyone was so friendly and looked after us both so well. The food was stunning, I have Coeliacs disease and the the gluten free food I have eaten over the last few day has been fantastic. We were really lucky on our drives and saw so many animals and birds on our 6 drives as can be seen in the pictures. Great new touches since the last time I visited with the game drive tick sheet, the spa (partner had a great massage one afternoon), the singing and the the bedtime stories in our room. As we left the park today, we agreed we will be coming back. Amakhala stole our hearts and the memories we have made will last a life time.

For our first safari experience, Bukela Lodge was beyond any expectations we had! We finished our South Africa trip at the Bukela Game Lodge for 3 nights. From the moment we checked in, we were made feel very welcome and at home. The staff were very attentive, kind and helpful from our morning drive to bed time. The food was so tasty and plentiful! I also have to mention the incredible and fun morning singing and dancing to get us ready for the day! We feel very grateful and blessed to have met our ranger, Mr. B. Bonokele is extremely knowledgeable, funny and talented at his work. Within our first ten minutes in the truck we were off on an adventure to a “meeting” of lions and elephants! Each drive continued to wow us, from tracking paw prints to find cheetahs, close up encounters with lots of different animals while learning lots of interesting information about them too. We really loved the opportunities for a safari break, a lovely chance to chat about our drives with a snack and beer. We really appreciate how all of the staff contributed to making our honeymoon and safari experience a special and memorable one. Thank you! :)

We had an amazing 2 days at the HLosi game reserve, everything about our time there was exceptional, the food the staff , the tent with a lovely outdoor shower where I could spot red heart beast as I showered! Sitting with a coffee watching the resident hippo was brilliant, but the game drives were the absolute best thing about the 2 days , I went on 3 drives with B, he was so knowledgeable, quick to spot the animals and a good laugh, we saw lions, rhinos, impalas elephants giraffes and many many more plus so many different birds, my highlight was having a chocolate in the early morning watching elephants nearby something I will never forget, we will be back.

Our visit to the Hlosi Game Lodge on the Amakhala Reserve was an amazing experience. The wildlife experience will give lasting memories and exceeded our expectations. The accommodation was excellent and spotlessly clean. All the staff were friendly and obliging and a real asset to this excellent resort.

Cannot fault any aspect of this place. Beautiful accommodation and beautiful staff. Food excellent and plentiful with loads of choices. The entire staff were kind, friendly and courtesis. Wow , such a briallint holiday, would definitely go back here again. Sad we had to go home. It was like a dream and we managed to see so many animals including the big 5. Clayton our drive guide was very helpful and professional and had a great sense of humour. Wish our stay was longer maybe next time. Sean and Pam from ireland 🇮🇪.

The Amakhala Hlosi Game Reserve was an amazing experience. From the moment we entered we met Houise ( I think) who introduced us to this homely lodge and reserve. We started with a nice easy going lunch and headed out on our 1st safari with Abbie who was tremendous for our 4 outings. We had dinner after when we came which was so homely. Had an amazing massage with Zanelli in the cottage on day 2.....also not to forget Elvis and the rest of the team who made this stay unforgettable on our honeymoon with attention to detail on all aspects. Don't forget to look out for Thomas the hippopothomas who resides at the lodge !!!!!! Thank you to all :)

Super lodge with well kept facilities and a friendly team. We stayed in the Luxury Tent - super private with everything we needed including private verandah overlooking the bushlands, mini-bar, aircon, big tub and even an outdoor shower! Meals were excellent and served promptly to fit in with return from game drives etc. Drives were 2x 3hr in a large reserve that is shared with a couple of other lodges - meaning that there is plenty land and plenty wildlife.
