The Langworthy Inn & Winery

Unfortunately, the inn missed the mark. The room lacked basic comforts. You cannot adjust the heat/cooling and it was so hot we opened a window. I get it's an old home and not thermostats in rooms but it was soooo hot. The closet spaces were not utilized very well. 4 bugs on bathroom floor on arrival. I guess nobody checked the room prior to our check in. Breakfast was very small assor**ent of breads and fruit and the table next to us was served a bad looking omelet thing with bacon sitting on top. Passed just based on look. The jelly on the table was the little glass individual ones and the one on our table was 2/3 gone leaving a teaspoon in it with crumbs. Not to sanitary looking. Normally I think that would be disposed of after use but maybe not. Sitting area looked pleasant enough but hiking up the stairs and lack of any comfort in the room not worth the trade off and not a cheap option. New owners just need to visit other inns to get a feeling for what works in a room. Not enough places to set bath items, soap tiny dry pathetic thing not usable. No place to set towels, a chair was cloth and kinda dirty, and stained carpet in sitting area. One side table by bed. Pictures on site look better than reality.

The Inn and hosts are superb. My wife and I decided to have a quick getaway to Watch Hill and Westerly and were so lucky to have booked the Langworthy. Everything about the Inn was idyllic. Rebecca, our host, was delightful and charming and the lovely room and amenities were spotless and well appointed. We arrived in time to grab a glass of wine in the tasting room of the winery they operate across the driveway from the Inn. For those that know the area and especially for those that don't the Inn is situated a short walk from the beach fronts of Weekapaug and Misquamicut and at this time of year it is a serene dreamscape. Aside from the hospitality of the hosts the other guests were equally as charming and friendly. We could not recommend it more highly.

"Whats not to love?" As a jaded Manhattanite if I didn't find Langworthy the epitome of what a charming, beautiful and quaint B&B is, my husband Gary and I would not have stayed there on 3 seperate occasions in the last few years. The location is perfect, 40 minutes from Newport, Mystic CT and 10 minutes to beautiful Watch Hill Beach. The best part are the hosts, Rebecca and Josh. We would go back just to hang out with them, smart, and fun and just overall nice people. Their hospitality was amazing and so was their fabulous, hearty breakfast. They directed us to new places to eat and tour. We stayed on the 2nd floor in the Colonel Ward Bedroom with a King size bed that was so beautifully made, we didnt want to sleep on it. Oops, forgot to tell about the added bonus, they own a very impressive winery on the property. Can't wait to go next summer! Nina & Gary

We chose this B&B for its location and were not disappointed. We stayed in a third-floor room (#16) with a sea view. While we could see the ocean from our window, it was about 1+ miles away. The property has three floors, so, if you are unable to climb steps, ask for a first-floor room. Our room was very comfortable, however, the property abuts a major road, so, noise can be an issue. Free coffee service was available each day outside our door. The property owners were very accommodating and personable and provided a choice of two very nice complete breakfast options each day. Attractions nearby include Watch Hill and Downtown Westerly. Each is worth the visit. Eastern Connecticut (Mystic, etc.) is about 15 minutes away. We would not hesitate to return to this property.

I'm so disappointed in the prejudiced way we were treated. My husband and I were wine club members and have spent quite a bit of money here. I showed up once with my father with a Lyft driver (despite both of us being fine, just to be safe) and instead of just saying they stopped at 4:30, they just said they wouldn't serve us. I understand this might be hard to believe, but literally all we did was walk to a table. They served people who had been at the last winery with us. When asked what was the problem, they said the way we walked. I refer you back to my father, who is 63 who has had both back and shoulder surgery. I immediately canceled our wine club membership and will do my best to ensure other people don't have to experience the poor service at this winery.

My brother and I stayed here in early August for a sibling summer reunion. We chose Langworthy as this was the closest hotel to Misquamicut Beach that wasn't outrageously priced. We stayed in the Colonel Ward room which was adorable and spacious. The house is well maintained, cozy and comfortable. Every morning we would have an early breakfast prepared by the owners of the home and it was always delicious. It was a great start to our day before we headed to the beach which was a 10 minute drive from the B&B. My brother & I would come back to Langworthy in a heartbeat.
