Wingate by Wyndham West Monroe

My husband and I had a good stay. The room was clean the beds where okay.. It was just for one night.

Roach Motel level... To start with the hair dryer caught on fire. It probably should have been replaced 3 years ago. And the tile in the bathroom is falling apart off the bottom of the floor. And the sink backed up within 3 seconds. And there were these little things on the carpet and I have no idea what that is but I stepped on it twice.

No one was at the check-in desk for over five minutes. Entrance of the hotel looked dank and dark. When a staff member finally showed up, The check-in was super slow. When I finally got my key for the room I took the elevator upstairs. All the hallways ways were dark. The lighting was very poor, maybe it’s because they’re trying to hide all the dirt and nastiness. When I open the door to my room, I felt like I had traveled back in time. Everything was old. The room smelled like mold. The toilets were rusted on the inside. Everything was just old. Nothing new there were stains on the sheets and everything was dark. I wouldn’t dare stay there or even recommend anybody stay there. I decided to try the pool thinking that would be a good thing, but I was wrong. The pool was disgusting. The hair in the pool was diabolical. The pool did not look like it had been cleaned in many many months. It was cloudy, and dirty with bugs floating in the water. It was nasty. There was no filter working whatsoever. It was super hot in there and there were only three windows open, which didn’t help anything. There were air-conditioning vents in there, but the air condition was not coming through. That was the worst Hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. I thought because of the name this hotel had it would be a great experience, but I was absolutely wrong. I’ve stayed in Wingate by Wyndham before in Florida, and it was really nice, but this one was diabolically nasty!

My stay My stay was to perfection. Quiet, peace, fun, and very comfortably!!! Staff at the front desk were amazing!! Some of Housekeeping could be better with their attitude but they were doing a great job as well!! The breakfast provider made me feel welcomed as if it was bed in breakfast n stayed on top of breakfast items!! The water from a visual eye was not too good but hey it’s west Monroe that’s normal, still felt good!!! 9/10 Good Job wingate!!

No pillow cases on the pillows. Shower would not drain. Moeeking paint. Dirty floors and carpet. Musty. Air co dictionary was cool and bed was nicely made upon arrival.

Needs a reboot! I don't typically leave a bad review... but this was not a good stay. The check-in dude was beyond helpful. After that it went south! A roach under the fridge... No middle sheet between the mattress cover and the comforter... I've stayed here 6 or so times. If Wyndham actually owns this property then they need to seriously do some refresh! IT'S OLD!
