I could go on and on about how filthy and run down the room was--my room included a closet door that wasn't attached to the hinges, layers of grime on most surfaces, lumpy pillows and a mattress you could feel the springs in. Other reviews have covered this fully--this ”hotel” is disgusting and I've stayed at cleaner places for half the price. Dirt and discomfort, though, are less important than SAFETY. Smudgy walls and dirty carpets won't really hurt you. But this motel is downright dangerous. Mind-blowingly, the staff GAVE OUT MY ROOM NUMBER!!!! This is unconscionable. I'm not sure it's even legal. I could not pick my jaw up off the nauseating floor when someone showed up at my room door without me having disseminated my room number. The exterior doors that should be keycard-access only are wide open to anyone, and this must be well-known, because on the Saturday night of my stay, the property was full of folks who weren't staying there. The hallway was filled with people charging their phones and engaging with other non-travelers who came and went; it doesn't take much imagination to figure out what they were doing. Hotel staff was non-existent; my guess is some staff must participate in these extra-curriculars, because there was no one at the front desk for hours. In addition to the more nefarious non-guest visitors were pool using hoards of kids who ran the halls, pounding and screaming, until well past midnight. Again--no staff to be found to address the nonstop noise. So many room doors had such damage that I imagine they must have been broken into--which makes sense given the ease of access and goings on at this property (nestled, as it is, in a remote, barely-lit location well off any through road). I happened to be traveling with a dog, who was on high alert and was the only reason I didn't abandon ship in the middle of the sleepless night. I can't believe Wyndham has its name on this deplorable place.
