Quality Inn

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was clean , modern and comfortable. The hot tub and pool were delightful ! Staff was delightful and helpful Will return ! Highly recommend!! All areas were awesome !’

The hotel is decorated in a woods lodge theme currently. There was a sign that remodeling was happening in 2024. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet. There is a restaurant attached for meals. We did not get a chance to try it. We would stay here again.

As others have mentioned, the hotel has a strong lumberjack theme. Our room was nice, clean and had comfortable beds. Breakfast in the restaurant was standard fare of eggs, etc. and reasonably priced. The one downside is that there is no elevator. After checkin, I was surprised that we had to carry luggage up a flight of stairs.

Ok my first impression was like “What?!” The Lobby was a lot to take in, but wow- the owners put so much effort into the lumberjack theme! Very interesting things to see and read about the local history. Many old photos, I wish there had dates on them. Many antique tools and items on display! There was custom made iron decor with elk, light fixtures and lamps! We had a balcony over the interior courtyard which housed a large pool. There was a strong smell of chlorine in there, could have used some ventilation. Also had a pool table. I enjoyed hearing the kids having fun. I was disappointed there was no breakfast included, but we did receive a 25% off coupon for the attached restaurant. There was a great store in the property too. Reminded me of the kind you find at campgrounds. A great variety of things for sale! Bed was comfy, water and towels were soft, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, iron and hairdryer all in room.

We have stayed here before when traveling downstate form the U.P of Michigan. It's a great halfway point if leaving Friday night. Rooms are clean and quiet. We got the room with the hot tub knowing we were going to be getting there too late to use the pool area. I was very happy to turn on the jets to the hot tub and find it clean! That is Not always the case in a hotel. We took advantage of the attached restaurant and 25% off coupon they give you at the front desk. The food is excellent, and the staff is friendly. Also took advantage of the gift shop which had some really nice quality items for gifts.

This was a surprisingly delightful accommodation. Great on site restaurant, spacious and clean rooms, though mattress was a bit firm. The pool area is the gem of this place. Both pool and hot tub were perfect temperature and handicap accessible via chair lifts. We would absolutely stay again.

Fixed up cute with an Up North look to it and clean. For what they charge though I would not expect to hear the drunks in the room next to me like they are in the room! I liked the percentage off the attached Lumber Jack restaurant. We did not use the pool area because we arrived later than it was open.

Reserved 1 king room non poolside. Checked in and got a poolside room. Room is very loud and dirty. Carpet looks like it’s from the 1980’s. I won’t be taking my socks off here. Tried to turn the heat on in the room and the thermostat doesn’t work. Very disappointed. Pool looks nice but I’m here for work.

My wife and I stayed here in February 2022. Our king room was clean, and the lights, plumbing, and TV all worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Quality Inn does not have a breakfast, but guests get a discount coupon for use in the attached Lumberjack restaurant. Rooms have microwave ovens and mini-fridges. When reserving, one should be mindful that half of the rooms have small patios/balconies opening into a large indoor pool/spa/gathering area. Rooms that face the outside might be quieter when this area is being used. The motel has two stories. Access to the second floor is by stairs or a by a small handicap lift/elevator which did not have room for a luggage cart as well as a person. We carry a lot of gear when traveling. This meant we had to load/unload a baggage cart and elevator, and carry our bags up and down the 2nd floor hallways. Not awful, but not for everyone. We just used the stairs when checking out. Throughout the Inn, there was intense North Country décor: moose, bears, fish, and rustic items in general. Not at all bland as in most chain motels! NB: We would stay here again.
