Everything at Worth house was just right, comfort, cleanliness, food, atmosphere is very friendly, this was my third visit to Worth house and it just gets better every time. I have already recommended this place to stay to my friends if they intend to visit this part of the beautiful Somerset countryside, only fifteen minutes from Wells.

We’ve just got home from a lovely long weekend staying at Worth House for our first anniversary. It’s a beautiful place, in a gorgeous area, and the hosts are absolutely lovely. Our room was restful; an incredibly comfortable bed with soft bedlinen. The view from the window was of a herd of cows in a rolling field, with the moon shining through the window at night. A delicious breakfast was served at the incredibly civilised time of 9:30am - no getting up with the lark on holiday! This wonderful hidden gem is a place that we’d both love to return to - we can’t praise it highly enough. Thank you so much Sarah, for the best weekend break!

If you want to visit Wells without giving up the pleasure of sleeping in a relaxing country residence, this is the perfect solution. Not even 10 minutes' drive from the city centre, Worth House is a beautiful residence surrounded by fields and pastures, with beautiful common areas and a pleasant breakfast room. The room is really comfortable as well (despite the negligible inconvenience of the sink located in the bedroom, outside the bathroom). The friendliness and courtesy of the hosts also contribute to making the stay pleasant!

Great B & B, Hosts are friendly and very helpful, they booked us a lift to the pub and also booked the meal for us. There is an array of food for breakfast including hot and cold. Room was comfortable and had everything you needed. The setting and grounds are stunning, there is also ample parking. Would highly recommend Worth house and would not hesitate to stay there again. Well done Worth House.

This is one of the best b&b we’ve ever been to. Sarah is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble. The bedroom was very comfortable and had everything you would need for a few days stay. The breakfasts were amazing. Sarah is happy to help book restaurants or give you advice of where to go. A great little find and would highly recommend.

We booked here for a 2-night day whilst visiting a friend near-by. We had a garden facing room with a lovely view and enjoyed watching the rabbits running in the meadow next door. Our room was comfortable and the bed was very good with both of us getting a good night’s sleep. Our host Sarah was lovely and very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent - both cooked as well as cereals, juices, yogurts etc. Service was very good and we appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to wait a long time for our food. We wanted somewhere to stay to break up our journey from the midlands down to Devon and after a little bit of research we decided to book Worth House due to its great reviews and proximity to Cheddar Gorge and Wells. I now understand why it has so many five star reviews. We were a bit early for check in but no problem. We were met by Flavia who was very friendly and chatty. She showed us up the Loft room which is very spacious with great views over the fields to the rear of the property. The last flight of stairs up to the room is a bit steep and twisty but then it opens out and you get a bit of a wow factor with the amount of space and the sloping ceilings. The bathroom is also very spacious. After making use of the tea making facilities we then bumped into Sarah on our way out to explore Wells. Within no time she had offered to replenish the milk stocks with fresh milk in the little fridge in the room, made recommendations of where to eat that evening, said she would make the booking, and given advice on what to look for in Wells and where to park! She also advised going to evensong (5.15pm) in the Cathedral that evening which was a great suggestion. Hearing the choir was very impressive. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the full English sourced with local ingredients. We will definitely be back in the future.

You have to stay in this amazing place! Situated in a great rural location for exploring. Sarah is the best host ever. Always making your stay a magical experience! The Loft room is a must! It’s stunning and as for breakfast - simply special and all locally sourced foods. We will be back for our 5th stay soon ❤️

I booked this for a Christmas shopping trip for myself and my mum. On arrival we were greeted by Sarah who was super friendly and shows us to our room. Lovely room on the first floor with single beds. We had booked dinner at the hotel for 6pm. Sarah was very accommodating as I am vegetarian and had prepared a lovely meal, all home made with was delicious. Again desserts were amazing with a choice of lemon tart or pavlova. Couldn’t fault the dinner at all. We stayed for two nights, breakfast on both mornings was perfect, lovely and hot and not too much which we liked. The hotel was positioned perfectly for us as we visited both Wells and Clark’s Village. All in all nothing to moan about and would not hesitate in coming back. Thank you Sarah 😊
