This terrific two-story home sits on the edge of Rhododendron and Brightwood and is conveniently located near many outdoor recreation options in the area.The spaceThe cabin sleeps up to six people comfortably and includes an updated, well-equipped kitchen. Our living room is the perfect relaxation and entertainment hub, featuring a 60-inch smart TV and a vintage turntable and receiver (with Bluetooth capability) with a stash of great records (bring your own if you want!). Upstairs, you’ll find the main bedroom with a queen bed, reading nook, balcony access and a desk for the work-from-home crowd. There is also a quaint bathroom and a bunkroom that features a single and full bed. Downstairs, there is plenty of space to hang your outdoor recreation gear to dry in the hallway, and you’ll find the third bedroom with a queen bed and nearby bathroom with shower. The living space is extended outside, featuring a deck with an outdoor table and BBQ grill just off the dining room, and a perfect space out back with ample outdoor seating and a gas fire pit to wind down your evening.Guest accessThe cabin is a standalone home that you’ll have to yourself. It is located in the Timberline Rim community, a neighborhood of homes primarily occupied by full-time residents and some nightly rentals. There are neighbors to each side of the cabin, with a street-facing front. There’s not a great deal of traffic, but traffic is audible at times. Our home offers ample free parking and a convenient horseshoe driveway for easy access, in and out.Other things to noteCentrally located in the Mount Hood Corridor, we are in close proximity to a wide variety of area outdoor attractions, and our home is a great place to relax after a day of activities and exploring. There are ample options for groceries and food in the area, including stores in Rhododendron, Brightwood and nearby Sandy. Hood has to offer like skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, water activities, biking, golf, local shops and food. This home is still private enough to have a relaxing vacation. The vaulted great room has a floor-to-ceiling wall of windows and the best view of the woods with the river peaking through. Relax in the hot tub after an adventurous day of exploring the mountain while listening to the river flowing by!The space -just 55 mins from Portland -Almost an acre on the river with private beach for camping, fishing, and enjoying a fire.-House has neighbors not completely secluded- close to amenities and shopping-15 mins to ski bowl -hot tub while listening to the river flow, bbq, and eat dinner on the deck with a view.-fire pit by the house and down by the river -well appointed kitchen -open floor plan-over sized jetted tub -loft with views of the river -games in garage for when the weather is bad -No pets except service animals. We are so glad to share our cabin in the woods with you! Our home is nestled in the moss and wondrous forest of historic Rhododendron. Completely surrounded by nature, but just 15 minutes to Mt. Hood and with plenty of restaurants, shops, and hiking within a few miles. There is a gas fireplace and plenty of cozy spots to sit and read a book or stare out the windows at the mossy forest. This is the ultimate cabin in the woods, with WIFI and proximity to all that Mt. Hood has to offer.The cabin is fully equipped with gas fireplace, full kitchen, bathroom, WIFI, speaker system, and Roku TV for streaming.Our main goal, however, in designing the home is to give you a comfortable place to sit and relax in nature. It's the perfect sort of place to read a book, play board games, enjoy a beverage, or listen to music.The home sleeps 2-4 people. The main place to sleep is a cozy sleeping nook (a small bedroom with a curtain door) that has a queen bed. The secondary sleeping area is a loft accessible by ladder. It is not suitable for small children or people with limited mobility.IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PARKING: There is only parking for ONE CAR at the cabin. The spot only fits one car and there is NO STREET PARKING on the street whatsoever.The hot tub is there for your enjoyment.
