SSOONHONGI asked for a non-smoking room, and I think that the hotel did give me one. But there is something everyone should know about who goes to China. Many still smoke indoors, even near kids. No room is truly free from smoke, I imagine. My room had a weak smell of smoke, and that scent was in all the places, from the lobby and lifts to the corridor. Still, the hotel staff were friendly and kind throughout my stay. Talking to them may be difficult if you do not speak Mandarin, as most staff know a little English, but a translation app helps a lot. They were all kind and happy to help. This was my first trip to Weihai, and the trip was for a friend’s wedding in one of the hotel’s halls. So, the spot was quite good for the event. If you go to Weihai just to see sites or other fun spots, you might want to look at other places to stay. That said, the hotel has a sweet sea view and parks by the sea, which is nice for a slow walk and some clean air.

UUtente ospiteWe thought with its exciting history we would enjoy spending more time exploring Liugong Island once the day trippers leave. So we decided to overnight at the Liugong Island Hotel. Upon arrival we were picked up by a staff member, taken to register & driven to our accommodation. The service was prompt & helpful. Although the room was within walking distance of the harbour, having the van service takes the hassles & guesswork out of the check-in procedure.
There are a lot of eateries to the left of the harbour but since the hotel is on the right there weren’t much choices. We were shocked to discover that most of restaurants don’t stay open after 6.00 pm or so. Liugong Island is no Gulangyu!
However we did take a long walk around the island, just to see what it has to offer. If you enjoy peace, tranquility & have the time, the island is a good respite & naturally the place to stay is the Liugong Island Hotel!

UUtente ospiteTre anni fa, il ristorante di Xiaohai Tai, che ha avuto un buon risultato, ha lasciato una bella impressione, quindi questa volta ha scelto di nuovo. Anche se le strutture dell'hotel sono un po'vecchie, il punteggio è 4.2, ma non posso sopportare che abbia una spiaggia privata, ha un pannolone batterico, un lato silenzioso del mare, Non è così confuso come altri spiagge.
