Wayanad Wild - A CGH Earth Experience

The property is nestled 4 km inside a tropical jungle. With its abundant greenery and seclusion from the main road, you can expect a serene, relaxing experience. The Reception staff were extremely accomodative and polite. Restraunt staff were friendly and attentive. If you have mentioned any special request around food, you dont have to ask twice. Added entertainment in the cafeteria are the occasional monkey and malabar giant squirrel visits. Rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms. However, there were no ACs, so watch out in summers! Wayanad Wild has dedicated activities for kids like Creek Expedition and Little Chef. Also, they give hanx written memoirs to each child who goes for Creek Expedition, ***** with a physical photograph, which can be added to their scrapbooks! Kids can also accompany adults during the nightly Explore the Elusive walks. The Naturalists deployed are quite knowlegeable and communicate effectively. Food was fresh, and a full of local flavours. Good resort.. great location and great trekking and walking experience ***** with the naturalists who were ever enthusiastic exploring the wilds… but leeches are a mess which are taken care of properly by the resort Food was good but could be better … especially breakfast and in case you have not taken all inclusive package… 2000₹ for a meal and 750₹ for breakfast is high. It’s located to the south of Wayanad district so far from wildlife safari and other tourist attractions… you need to hire a car and it would be tiresome at times to travel all the way..if not for the scenic drive. Morning safari is highly impossible as it takes nearly 1.5 hours from there and the ticket counter opens at 5:30. But the resort free drop and pick up to the parking down the hill is only from 5:30am to 5:30 pm . So we are charged for that. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable and clean. 5 points for that. Staff were all good, friendly and helpful. Overall had a relaxing and rejuvenating experience with pure air and light showers. Tip: I suggest that when visiting to take a stay that is in the town complete touring all the spots in 2 days. Then come to CGH Earth and relax thoroughly. That would be the best way to enjoy.

We had an superb stay at Wayanad Wild. The setting was fabulous set into the jungle; all of the staff were welcoming and warm; the rooms were very comfortable; and the food was terrific. But most importantly for us was the wonderful team of naturalists who helped us discover all of the amazing bird life in the area (pic of a Frogmouth Owl below). We would very much like to go back.

The staffs are very pleasant. The food is amazing but the spread could have more options. The wildlife experts have the apt knowledge. The in-house activities were interesting and engaging. I felt the need of more options of such activities for people coming for more than 2 days.

We had a wonderful time at CGH Wild Wayanad and can’t wait to return. Apart from fantastic food, rooms and views, the nature walks and staff service really blew us away. Perfect for wildlife enthusiasts who can get a morning, afternoon and night walk on the massive property rich with wildlife. We saw a range of reptiles, birds, deer and insects endemic to the region and learned a lot. Felt like we were staying at home. Every detail of our stay was attended to by the thoughtful staff.
