We spent 5 nights here. It is the most peaceful place I have ever visited. The staff are fantastic, the beach front cabin became our home in paradise. An absolutely beautiful swimming pool, great food and quiet! The only sound was the waves, nights were great for sleeping with ocean breezes. If you plan to snorkel take the boat trip to the other side of the island. Calmer water and a stunning reef. Looking forward to returning, and a thank you to this wonderful place.

Wow, what a find! Waya Island Resort did not disappoint. The greeting we had on arrival from the friendly professional staff was very welcoming. The room we had was spacious and well laid out with a large comfortable bed. It was kept beautifully clean by the friendly staff. ( Loved the red/green coconut you are asked to leave outside if you needed the room serviced!) The food served was amazing and enjoyed! The choice available was very good, we didnt have the same meal twice during the week we were there. The facilities at the resort were great with paddle boards/ kayaks, masks and snorkels always available for guests use. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool where there were ample beds in and out of shade. There were various activities available and these varied daily. We participated in the guided hike to the top of the hill through dense canopy which isnt for the faint hearted but resulted in amazing views at the top. We enjoyed learning about the Fijian culture and very much enjoyed the Kava ceremony. The staff were professional at all times, attentive but not intrusive. What we particularly liked was the way the staff were happy, friendly and sincere in their warm welcoming way. We felt like we had left family behind! Waya Island Resort will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Waya Island Resort is a must if you’re looking for an amazing adults only resort. We stayed at Waya Island Resort for seven nights over Christmas. John, Lauren and all the amazing staff with the service they give you will make your stay one to remember. This is the most picturesque place we’ve ever stayed, from the bure’s ,beach and to the mountains, everywhere where you look is stunning. The rooms are five star, the food is great, the staff are so friendly. The perfect resort if you’re looking for privacy and tranquility.

With only one or two reviews online at the time, we took a bit of a risk choosing Waya Island Resort, but Sherry quickly set us at ease with her warm communication and impeccable professionalism. During our stay, her dedication to guest satisfaction stood out, as she ensured every detail of our trip was perfect. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘵𝘩, 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘧𝘧 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦. They consistently went out of their way to make anything possible, treating us like family in the best sense of the word. Their care and pride in running the resort made the experience truly special. The cultural connection was also a highlight, as the staff taught us Fijian words and immersed us in their warm and welcoming culture. We were especially impressed that most of the team came from the local village on the island, with many native Fijians holding leadership roles. The resort’s focus on empowering the local community made a real difference in creating an authentic and meaningful experience. 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: The food was a standout feature. Every meal was fresh, diverse, and absolutely delicious, with portions so generous we left a few kilos heavier! Breakfast offered a variety of options, all made to order by the talented chef. We were especially impressed by the use of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and fish, which is no small feat given the remote location. 𝗟𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Our villa was spacious, comfortable, and perfectly designed, with both indoor and outdoor showers, a blissfully comfortable bed, and excellent air conditioning. Everything was immaculately clean, thanks to the hardworking cleaning team. The resort’s amenities were brand new, from the snorkels, masks, fins, and water shoes to the stand-up paddleboards and kayaks. The snorkeling tour took us to the most vibrant coral reefs we’ve ever seen in Fiji, and the relaxing massage was the perfect way to unwind. 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲: Waya Island Resort is a haven of tranquility, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The adults-only policy and intimate capacity of just 36 guests ensure a serene and exclusive experience. 𝗔 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆: We had the privilege of staying at Waya Island Resort before its grand opening in February. We have just had one week here at Waya Island Resort as a couple. Our stay was excellent. Being here out of high season meant there was just us and 6 other guests during our stay, so it felt like our own private resort at times. We mixed up our stay with a few activities as well as a lot of lounging around. The location is dramatic with high vaulting black cliffs behind the resort and green jungle cover. Tried a guided jungle walk to the top of the hill behind the resort, this was strenuous work but worth it for the amazing view to see both sides of the island. Guided snorkelling boat trip was great, the corals here are so colourful, plenty of small colourful reef fish to see. Snorkelling is also very good just off the beach itself accessed via the boat channel. Staff are all lovely and attentive. Our room was large and aircon is good, loved the outdoor shower (there is also an indoor shower). One small suggestion I have is for more shading overlooking the pool, perhaps a tree of some kind to give more dappled shade while swimming. There is a small bit of shade from a roof overhang, but the pool does receive full sun so is quite intense. Totally recommend this resort and would return in a heartbeat.
