Hotel in zona Warwick Racecourse stables & schooling ground, Warwick

Ho bisogno di stare da qualche parte per un viaggio d’affari, e questo posto mi sembrava un posto decente per stare; all’arrivo, il personale si accolgeva, e il pub sembrava un posto bello. Non era una questione di grande importanza avere un parcheggio, perché c'era un parcheggio a pochi passi da qui, ma l'ombra che portava dal pub all'alloggio mi lasciava molto da desiderare e mi lasciava paura di quello che avevo lasciato dentro. La stanza è stata un po' ricorrente di un intersezione tra un blocco di ufficio degli anni '80 e l'alloggio di Rigsby. C’erano tuttavia alcuni problemi significativi che mi impedissero di tornare: quando ho provato a fare un bagno, ho capito, dopo aver correto l’acqua per abbastanza tempo da riempire, che era quasi vuoto. Quando controllavo, il piatto si sedeva orgoglioso, il che significava che l'acqua svuotava quasi quanto era riempita. La parte più importante era stata scoperta solo tardi la sera. Ero fuori per la sera, tornando alle 11:00. Quando sono tornato, ho trovato il pub chiuso e la chiave non mi avrebbe adattato alla serratura. Grazie a Dio ho sentito qualcuno all'interno, che finalmente mi ha sentito urlare sulla porta e sulla finestra. Il cielo sa come mi sarei entrato se fossi tornato più tardi! Se c'era un altro modo per entrare, non mi sono mai stato informato quando sono entrato. Non mi aspettavo neanche di essere tornato da un curfew - non ho avuto uno di quei da quando ero bambino! Poco dopo che sono tornato, un altro ospite mi ha chiesto se sapevo come tornare fuori - non so se l'ha fatto alla fine.

The room was attractive (but smelt unpleasantly of cheese or similar when we arrived) with comfy beds and a nice view of the church. That's the good bit but unfortunately the rest made it too odd to enjoy. It was so strange - like staying in someone's house where they weren't expecting you and didn't want you there! The staff were completely disinterested and unfriendly from start to finish. Breakfast was strange - jars of cornflakes, crunchy nut cornflajes, muesli and croissants on one table with a plastic bottle of milk, plus some bread and a toaster on the bar - noone showed you where anything was, you!had to find where they had balanced bits of breakfast and the one member of staff sat with her back to us. We weren't offered tea or coffee but asked if there was any because we saw empty teapots on another table. Very awkward and uncomfortable. When we checked in, I asked what time checkout was and asked if I could extend it to 12pm. I was told it was 10am but could pay £20 to extend it, which I did. At 11.40am we returned to our room and a member of staff said 'what are you still doing here, check out was at 11am' so I said we had paid £20 to extend it to 12pm. We could not have been made to feel less welcome throughout. Very disappointing and absolutely not worth the money.

We stayed on 11th July 2024 for 1 night in room 6 . We loved our room . Spacious , very clean and bed was so comfy . We ate in restaurant downstairs and I had galinhada a traditional Brazilian dish and it was delicious . My wife had steak which she said tasted fabulous . Highly recommend. We slept very well . Now there is one part of the review that’s very important to mention . The staff are amazing but one person in particular shone and that’s Innes . This wonderful lady is first class and knows exactly how to treat guests and diners . If anyone wants to see how they should treat guests , go watch Innes . A true credit to the kings head . We would definitely return and appreciate good service and kind staff . Thankyou x

Perfect location for visiting the beautiful town of Warwick it’s less that 5 min drive to the castle about a 25 min walk. Room was great as were the Staff. Breakfast was ok, very busy and limited choices, but decent enough. Bacon was very good although I think everyone else agrees as it went super quick!

Very poor condition for 3 stars , I was surprised and disappointed to find the accommodation was not as I would expect for a 3 star hotel . On check in I rang the bell at the door and waited , and waited , no one came to the door , eventually a staff member came from the annexe across the courtyard and let me into reception with her key , only to find a gentleman sat at the reception desk , why he couldn't answer the bell and let me in I don't know , kept me waiting several minutes , unnecessarily. The room was on ground floor , in the annexe type building across from reception , with the window facing out onto the pavement and roadway of a busy street , the net curtains being ripped offered no privacy, so that I had to keep the curtains drawn at all times to maintain privacy . The carpet in the bedroom could only be described as ” grubby” , the bathroom smelled musty / mouldy , with black discoloured grouting in the shower , which looked like it needed a really good clean . The shower head holder , height adjuster , was broken, so that it languished at the bottom of the rail and was not able to be held at a suitable height , forcing me to have to crouch down , or hold the shower head with my hand in order to get my head and shoulders under it . The hand soap dispenser by the basin was either empty or broken, so that every time I used the bathroom I had to reach into the shower for shower gel to wash my hands with . On checkout I was unable to raise my complaints as no one attended reception, despite my ringing the bell , so I had to leave my room key in the early checkout box and walk away without the opportunity to speak with the staff . Cleaning staff nearby , chatting away in a foreign language , completely ignored me standing at reception. Very disappointed with the accommodation and the staff , would NOT recommend staying here at all .

È un luogo molto piacevole per stare vicino al Lemington Spa e il personale è molto gentile e sempre supportabile.
